Article here suggesting that with supposed quotes from SportPesa's CEO...

http://www.nation.co.ke/sports/football/How-rich-is-SportPesa-Everton-deal/1102-3930048-khs6hxz/

Important bit:

"The specific amounts involved in the Everton deal have not been officially released, but English publications and journalists abroad reckon that the deal could be worth up to Sh6.3 billion (£48 million).

SportPesa chief executive officer Ronald Karauri, however, rejects this figure, and he told Nation Sport that the exact amount is “approximately Sh500 million per year”, which translates to a total of Sh2.5 billion..."

Worrying if true but surely it is a mistake. How would we accept less per year than our current Chang deal when sponsorships are going up in general? Just makes no sense.

Wait, hold on a second...

SportPesa chief executive officer Ronald Karauri, however, rejects this figure, and he told Nation Sport that the exact amount is “approximately Sh500 million per year”, which translates to a total of Sh2.5 billion every year until 2022.

So Karauri is saying we are getting...

Sh500m a year = £3.73m a year...

which is £18.65m over 5 years...

Hull were getting ~ Sh1.3b over 3 years = £9.69m over 3 years..

Those articles should read as Sh1.3b, not Sh13.2b as that would just be ridiculous.

So Hull were getting = £3.23m a year. (Maybe that deal will be less now they have been relegated.

Now he's the important part the extension with Chang was 'up to' £16m over 3 years...

http://www.evertonfc.com/news/2014/03/20/blues-strike-record-chang-deal

http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/everton-fc-sign-new-16m-6853799

If we do some simple maths that is equal to £5.33m per year...

So we're getting a few extra hundred £k more than Hull's deal and over the next 3 years we'll actually get less than what the Chang deal was...

Some real slight of hand movements here at least.

All we have been told to date is that the FF deal and the new Sportspea sponsorship is £75 million over 5 years now when I went to Skool 5 into £75 million= £15 mill pa. We know the latest Chang deal was £16 mill the club claim that the the shirt deal is 3 times the current deal hence where the £48 mill comes from but let's not let the fact that the old deal was 3 years ( £5.33 mill pa) and the new deal is over 5 years (£9.6 mill pa) get in the way of the numbers.

This is truly a terrible deal for a club both in annual value but more so for the length of the deal and I would suggest says an awful lot as to how the commercial world view the Everton project

Ok I know Chelsea are a different animal and this is before we know about either clubs potential sleeve sponsorship but their deal with Yokohama and Carabo sponsor in effect their track suits brings in £50million pa. So in terms of shirt sponsorship they bring in 5 times what Everton do. Let that sink in for a seconds before you even consider the sums at Man Utd

The "team sheet" of those invited to the kick around at Goodison was tweeted by theblueroom yesterday wasn't it?

Can't find it again now. Very interesting

Just getting around to seeing the kit and I quite like it. Not sure whats up with the sleeves on the long sleeve kits, but the short sleeve ones look boss. Going to miss chang as a sponsor, mainly because I was a big fan of the elephants and I will miss them.

The value of this kit sponsorship deal needs looking at. Figures need to be produced to settle the matter. The club say one set of numbers, the sponsor says another.

The word Kitbag looms large over any Everton deal claimed to be 'the best ever'.

When I see some of the latest comments on here I get a vision of OUR club being run by retards similar to the film Idiocracy.

Surely a multi million pound company would have some business knowledge, but hey let's not spoil another reason to beat up OUR clubs hierarchy, staff and players.

"Go away. 'batin."

I'd like to think there is more to it and our club wouldn't leave money on the table.

On the bright side, seems we're getting 50% more income from TV revenue this year if the figures theEsk tweeted are correct... up from 84m to 126.5m this campaign.

That's why we have local press.......

oh wait, my mistake
