new job!!

so... after being shafted 4 ish months ago from my old boss ive now been in my new job 4 ish weeks and loving it!!

loads of traveling though 2 buses and a 20 min walk! and totally different from what i was doing!!

im now making buoyancy aids for r.o.v's what are those i hear you ask well these things http://seaeye.com/index.html

im making the red bits under the yellow caseing look half way down this page http://seaeye.com/falcon.html

learning how to shape foam by hand and fiber glassing is cool other wise its all the same machining/tools as joinery!

just glad to be working again!

& here's me thinking that big oak frame was hand crafted.

Glad your enjoying it mate, I despised machining tbh from the day I started, the only place I enjoyed doing it was in NZ where I did the whole lot prog, setting, machining, even designing the jigs etc. plus the pay was good which always helps.

it was hand crafted!! but foam is different!

its cool as its just me and my boss working there well in his shed! so can still use the machines for joinery too! oh and yes the money is good too!

plus he wants to make a boat which could be cool as he did with his mates when he was 16 and sailed round the world twice on it!!
