New Everton Stadium

The history of English football shows that when we have the resources to compete at the top level we have been successful. Some of the best players in football history (Dean, Ball, Southall) have played for us. If we can get back to competing with the so called super six again, why can't we be successful again? Even after all these years in the wilderness we have more titles than three of those teams above us.

I've no doubt we can mate, this stadium will prove whether Moshiri is the real deal. Get this up and running and we could find ourselves right back in the mix where we should be.

Yes mate, have known for a few weeks, prior to MIPIM.

Prior to MIPIM would makes sense. The club are not represented there and would not want the cat let out of the bag when the Liverpool Waters scheme is discussed there.

The announcement should be a massive PR exercise carried out by the club (maybe in conjunction with Joe Anderson?), so it would have to be before that conference, I would have thought.

Yes you'd think so, any time in the week leading up to MIPIM makes more sense. Peel can then ride the wave of optimism with the news of the stadium and surrounding infrastructure and all of the other stuff they'll be discussing at MIPIM in regards to Liverpool Waters. That'll be some pitch to potential investors looking to sink their money into the next big thing and I'd imagine Peel will be all over that. It's pure conjecture though on my part.

..Champion Hurdle day at Cheltenham. There's a horse scheduled to run in the Arkle chase called 'Waiting Patiently' and another called 'Starchitect'. Very appropriate.

Not one called 'about bloody time' then? :p

Can any of you horse racing types find out if there is a quick way of finding out if there are any horses called Roberto, Martinez or Davek??

That would be too much for me to take right now.

...ironically there is also one called 'Top tug' running...which I'm sure we would all be partaking in if Bramley Moore is announced on that day ;)

....Supreme Novices Hurdle. Project Bluebook is 50-1 and Top Tug 66-1 with GOT sponsor Paddy Power (NRNB so you get your stake back if they don't make it to post).
