New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

people complaining about the atmosphere what do you want?

Drums?
Flares?
A mexican mariachi band playing non stop for 90 minutes?
They want a cauldron like the Metropolitano, however that is created by the fans, and we've not got that type crowd unless it's being driven by the players on the pitch. You look at some Italian clubs and the fans are making a racket and singing their hearts out for 90 minutes whilst the players pass it sideways and backwards for a boring 0-0 :p

Had to pay 20 notes for parking and still walked miles.

KENWRIGHT OUT
NCP Pall Mall
Not too bad price wise

got down there about 7pm on Monday, as wanted a bit of time to time to grab a scran in the plaza, and avoid the previous queueing problems I’d had at turnstile 2.

As it turned out the plaza was chocka at that point already, so headed in the ground early, and walked straight in turnstile 2 without any queue at all. Grabbed some scran and a pint from the e bar, no problems, and took the opportunity to have a walk round the concourse, which was good.

Atmosphere was a bit flat, for sure, but honestly no different to goodison. Few moments where it perked up, but no sustained singing. For me, that’s in part down to a poor selection of songs we’ve got. We’ve got nothing that’s the type of low, rhythmic, droning chants that can be sustained for long periods. It’s all short bursts of “Everton”, or the ”Pickford song”.

We’re gonna get the “you sold your soul, For this -hole” chant from away fans every game, but thought it was particularly egregious from West Ham fans, with their abomination of a ground.

Getting back was fine, walked back to town, and took me about an hour to get home, pretty much same as from Goodison.

There’s big floodlights by the bridge, which was good, but think they need some for right outside the wall, as some old timer had missed the step off the kerb on to the road, and gone over, and was being helped up by a few around him. Gonna be a few turned ankles if they don’t light that up a bit.

It’s getting better, I reckon. But let’s have it right about the Goodison atmosphere, it was sound for about 4 or 5 games a season, and the rest was a morgue. A new stadium isn’t gonna change that.
Yes, this also happened for Brighton, see a couple go over.
I would think sooner or later the council or Everton might get an insurance claim against them. I get its a cycle lane, but no visual of the kerb, particularly the second kerb between lane and road, when thousands pouring out. You just don't expect, nor see that second obstacle.

I would've thought that not passed the health n safety for their certificate? Maybe no-one has reported it officially.

I've had no issues with parking yes you have to walk a bit first but for Mansfield I got very lucky as I only paid £3.50 on YourParkingSpace at Love Lane as they hadn't worked out at that time that we were playing that night. For West Ham in a different YPS place I paid £7.50 slightly further just off Pall Mall.

Both times I got away from the spaces quickly but only issue being the overnight closures on the motorways not getting home until 3.15-3.30!

Also found the concourses in the lower very efficient on Monday clearly the staff are getting used to things. I didn't notice any long queues pre match. Didn't go down at half time but others around me that did came back within 5 minutes with food & drink.
