New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Been waiting for this moment, obviously saw the HD logos and crests lit last night but I wanted to capture it with my drone 💙

Fantastic again Baz.

Now that the signs are finally lit up it makes it almost complete.
But the 4 club crests that looked huge when they were fitted look pretty insignificant compared to the massive sponsors signs.
The club should be looking at putting Everton loud and proud on each side of the stadium.

Is it to much to have

Hill Dickinson Stadium

As the main signage.

More Everton please.

I've said over and over that Goodison was dreadful for at least ten years arguably its closer to twenty. I'm not blinded by sentiment over Goodison. I had foolishly hoped that a fresh start would do us good but instead its just more of the same without the comfort of what we knew. The new ground was and is the chance to start a singing section. That would never have worked at Goodison. New ground, new start. Now is the chance to change things.

Had earmarked the Spurs game for the first display, now postponed because there's not enough money for bigger/more flags. They need to get a Patreon set up or something.

Why the club does not pay for them I do not understand. It gives the feeling that we're just renters of the stadium at the moment and there's something a bit weird about how tentative the branding is around the area.

Sad situation.

If we don't take full advantage of our new home, we are snookered. BMD needs to be a fortress.

Goodison was only at its best on the odd special occasion.

Most of the time, it was pretty quiet.

Everyone knows this, even if they'd rather only remember the bear pit.

We've played a handful of games at Hill Dickinson, and none of them have been special.

Acoustically, I think the ground is fantastic. Sound carries in a much more uniform way than it did at Goodison. There was a moment first half last night when Michael Keane got a shout of "man on" from all four stands at once and he almost crapped himself.

The potential is there, the fans just have to collectively seize it.
Exactly! It is now down to us

Lots of concerns in this thread. I can see walking back when it's cold, wet and windy is not going to be very pleasant for those of a certain vintage, or with kids.

There shouldn't be any cars on, or going anywhere near Regent Rd on matchdays unless you (or one of your party) has serious mobility issues, or if you have corporate tickets that includes carparking. Complaining about Gridlock when you're one of those causing it by trying to park on top of the place, is both farcical and selfish.

I've used the train a few times now, and it has generally worked very well each time for me going to South Liverpool. Hopefully in the coming years there will be another station at Vauxhall to split the passengers and provide better access/marshalling. If/when the Gliders are introduced, I hope that they have full segregation to and from the city centre, with priority at all junctions. Only when gridlocked drivers see public transport streaming past them effortlessly, will these few roads be freed up for those who really need them..... and then we'll all get to and from the place far more quickly and easily.

I've got a couple of mates who take children with quite severe disabilities who are already considering packing in if it doesn't improve. Their whole matchday experience is several hours longer, significantly less convenient and more stressful now. You never know, the atmosphere might even be a bit better if less people are half thinking about post-match gridlocked streets or leaving early en masse to beat the traffic.

Certainly going to be interesting in those winter months, but so far no issues getting to/from the game with my mate and our 2 lads (8 and 6).

Train into sandhills arriving 1-1.5 hours before the game is easy enough, with a short walk down to the ground! It peed it down before the Villa game so caught in bad weather already!

Coming back Sandhills is well organised and despite the queue looking big, you are not waiting any more than 10-15 mins for the train!

We have also walked into town twice which is a nice walk rewarded by some good drinks and even food in town with the little ones.

We did notice the gridlock situation on Monday night though, as with it being a late one I was going to opt for a taxi.... but thought it wasn't going to be worth it and we got the train instead.... but again by the time we got to sandhills we were straight on the next train.
