New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

You on spot on. It’s mad that you called it an arena because that’s what I thought last night sitting there and just taking it all in.
The layout and the steepness make it feel like a huge indoor arena.
The first thing I did was FaceTime my dad as he couldn’t make it due to a family emergency. I just got emotional and the first thought to my head was we are back and the rest of the league need to be worried. Now that could be complete nonsense, but was just in awe of what we will call home.
Sorry your dad missed it mate, I felt so privileged to be there with my children. Good thing is we will all be in there soon.

I wish my pop could have been here, we dreamed about our new home for years and I’m gutted he never got to see it happen.

It’s defo an arena, the closeness to the pitch and the steep stands, the roof trapping the noise and pushing it back down to the pitch - it’s gonna be gladiatorial, that’s also what came to mind - I don’t think any visitors are gonna enjoy playing there when we’re in full voice.

I’m sorry to hear about your pop mate. He will watching over you and beloved club as we start to push on and get back to where we belong.

Souped up sausage roll - my lad said it was amazing, I never got a sniff.

Toffe doughnut - my daughter said it was “heavy” - I can confirm it was. Delicious.

This was the waterfront bar, all along the concourse near the long window - zero queues anywhere we went, loads of staff and got served so quick. Brilliant.

Loads of bogs, hardly any queues for them.

Bit chocka On the concourse, but i think that’s because we were all walking up and down exploring, and checking out other seats. When the rest of the ground is open I don’t think this will be an issue.

I am made up I got in, as I get season tickets tomorrow and I genuinely don’t care where I end up as every seat has a great view, even the back rows of the upper.

Cant wait for everyone to experience it, the pics and vids really don’t do it justice.

I never understand the "busy concourse" complaint. It would be crap if it was just a giant empty corridor. As long as it can safely hold 53k fans, I don't mind working my way through crowds. Will hopefully be boss when we beat the rs. The place will be rocking.

I’ve just had a thought. Kirkby was not a feasible candidate for some blues cos it was outside the Liverpool area (Sefton)

But Bootle, is? And is also Sefton.

Interesting

looking at the parking, I would have thought that some of the dock space would be used as private parking, particularly on match days. There is a space opposite the 10 streets social that is massive, from the pictures some of it seems to be used as storage and for parking already and 8 minute walk then to the stadium.

they'd make a killing on match day parking for land that is otherwise unused (for now). Lets say there are 5,000 car spaces there at £10 a go then that's an easy £50k per match day and almost £1m a year.

Oh I wasn’t complaining mate, it just felt a bit busier than it does on the top balc, which I thought was a bit odd. I did walk from one end to the other to check seats out so that could have had something to do with it! 🤣

Once we work out where we are and our routines, it will all sort it self out.
