That's not what the rules say. They say clubs have to comply with rules 16-20 by 2026/27 season and promoted clubs get extra time. Rule 17 says that clubs have to have a minimum of 70% of home tickets as digital. If we give away fans 3,000 tickets then that means Everton can have just under 15,000 tickets as physical cards. Completely agree. That press release is deliberately misleading by the Premier League. As always you have to read the original document and see what it's actually saying. I'm sure the club could set out a policy to give preference to certain groups who want a physical card. They've got a lot of room to manoeuvre on this if they want to - approx 14,800 cards. I think to be honest it's up to every one of us who had a physical card this season to email the club and demand that we have the right to have one next season and quote the actual rules to the club.

Yeah but just having match day buses seems like a bit of a waste to me. As things stand you can get four or five different bus routes to or near Goodison outside of matchday buses. Putting all the strain on that means utter chaos imo.

Plus, this ground is going to be a major attraction. The club and council are missing a trick if they don't add at least one ongoing bus route to and from town that runs regularly independent from match days. People are going to want to go there for the club shop, tours and even just a nice chilled walk by the Everton way. I know when I was a little kid, one of my favourite things was to just get the bus with my Grandad and go for a walk by Goodison with a bag of sweets and a drink. I think that people underestimate just how important an attraction this stadium is going to be and how frequently people are going to want to visit it for reasons other then the match.

The public transport planning from the council/city region has been woeful so far. They need to buck up their ideas big time.

Where will you park just to visit it midweek for a drink/mooch around with the new restrictions?
 
Managed to get in for a bit, nothing further or more spectacular beyond this but great to get an unobstructed up close view at ground level! Awsome.

It's something the club definitely need to rethink. They are quick enough to allow under14s in lower south so long as they've an adult ticket - funny how the leagues recommendations go out the window when it involves more money.

So the league recommending digital only, they 100% could ignore it like they've more-or-less done with the under14s ruling.

I agree seqson ticket holders, fan groups etc need to email the club
