New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Google maps says 40 minutes from BMD to Sir Thomas street. That must be a slow walk mind you. I reckon I could do it in 25 at a quickish pace.
2000 kick off will finish about 2155, you should easy make it. I would just leave with a minute of injury time to go to get out sharpish. Although it's a shame you have to do that.
Can't you get a train?
Yes theres a last train about 11.50 but doesnt go to where we want on wally side

I should think not too.

Imagine the views from the stadium into Liverpool city centre being obliterated for an ugly multi-story car park.

The arena and exhibition got a monstrosity approved and built over ten years ago on the water front and it's horrendous.

They got special approval because the concrete block they had was destroyed in a fire.

For you lot moaning about the price of a magnificent Toffee Donut, hope you’re happy now they’ve promised to introduce these.

The road infrastructure isn't there, and the heritage people don't want a multi-storey on the riverside. I mused over this a few months back, there absolutely is the need for the city and the riverside to warrant a significant vehicle storage solution.
Somewhere in this square.

It would probably require a significant connecting road heading east to a main arterial road, but that'll take some fixing.
City hotels, all the music venues and stadia holding events would benefit from a purpose built cctv covered safe car parking option. There must be a solid business plan for such a development because it frees up other space and encourages further business developments. It's about making visiting the city convenient. Look across the country atm, and see the train bus and tube strikes. Plan B is always a help.

Can you go to one of the restaurants in the stadium on a non matchday
Yes, it’s where the tour starts from, but you don’t need to be on a tour to go.

I wouldn’t describe it as a restaurant, more of a cafe bar. Trinity Place.

You can’t get into the Trinity Place Restaurant - that’s closed off (at least, it was on Saturday when we went):

They want to restrict car usage and traffic. The most sustainable stadium in the UK and they don't want to encourage car travel.

More ambitious plans for that space.

The club have already tried on two occassions to incorporate a MSCP in the stadium design. The only reason it was never included is because LCC had issues with how it looked rather than any traffic concerns. They have also now converted the entire Nelson Dock footprint to a temporary surface car park, so there is clearly a need for matchday and event parking, a need that will increase further should Nelson Dock be re-developed.

It's one thing promoting sustainable modes of transport for the majority of fans at major events, it's another expecting the venue to be used all year round with only limited visitor parking, especially for people who have paid significant sums of money for the best hospitality packages and those with accessibility issues.

There was talk a while back about also looking at land around the Ten Streets area alongside Nelson Dock, so perhaps this could be an alternative location for some sort of parking solution. Nevertheless, I'll be very surprised if any future development plans do not include some parking provision. I'm talking something in the region of 1,000 spaces. The original proposal was for a 700 space MSCP, this would have relatively limited impact on the surrounding road network.

Worth noting that the temporary car park on Nelson Dock, plus the Western Quay has somewhere in the region of 800-900 spaces in total. As far as i'm aware this all operates without any issues on match days. The club are highly unlikely to just do away with 75% of this if/when they re-develop the area.

The boozers in Dale Street have deffo had letters from the licensing and visits from the plod about people drinking outside, they don't want everyone walking round with bottles and glasses when the more headcase teams come to visit.
My matchday ritual was usually getting some beers from a shop, standing outside the ground and taking it all in. I hope they won’t put a stop to me doing that soon as it’s literally my favourite thing to do.
