Absolutely atrocious name, I've momentarily lost my head over a stadium name but wow that's so bad!

Had no issue with it being a sponsored name, but sureley the Hill Dickinson Bramley Moore Dock Stadium would have been better???

I think Bramley Moore was involved in slavery so was never going to happen

when this inevitably runs to an end as the amount a local solicitor is paying is likely very low … i imagine it will be difficult to get a big name to come on board as late stadium names don’t really stick. Which is why the other clubs held / are holding out rather than jumping at the first deal. Did anyone call the sports direct stadium that name other than commentators ?

That’s pretty underwhelming.

They’re a decent regional law firm, do mid-level corporate work. But a long way of the magic circle. Not bad, but there’s no way I can see them giving us the funding we were hoping for.

You would have hoped for a brand with genuine global reach, and massive revenues. A local law firm (albeit a decent one) doesn’t really tick that box.

Hard not to feel a bit underwhelmed with this.

They are a decent sized law firm. Not sure why people are crying over it, tbh. 10m from them is not worth less than 10m from a "Microsoft" or "Facebook"..

I suppose it's better than Etihad or Emirates but I can't imagine it's big bucks. Bramley Moore Dock or Everton stadium didn't really trip off the tongue either.

Would rather Emirates or the Etihad myself, least they are snappy in comparison and blue chip companies.

It'll always be called BMD to me but if they want to call it "the snap crackle and pop" stadium for tv I couldn't care less so long as it makes business sense.

So brief look at what’s going on with this firm and there has been 5 years of sustained growth, they’re headquartered in Liverpool so local firm, and while revenue was ‘only’ £145m last FY, profit was £50m
Strikes me they’ve got ambitious growth plans and see the stadium rights as part of their strategy.
£10m (if true) will get them an awful lot of exposure.

Personally not got a problem with it to be honest, and the stadium name? Better get used to this sort of deal with TFG in charge.
