New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Unfortunately there’s just not enough pubs in the area and doubt you would want to open one just to get revenue on match days. The Bramley Moore won't be able to cope with the demand, so a corporate marquee might take some pressure off but it’s not great is it.
Stuff will open up over time. Minimum 19 match days and up to 19 other major events is plenty of custom on its own, but you’ll also get other stuff being developed up there now so it won’t stay like this for long.

The hot wok/bluehouse beer hall will be open before the start of next season as well. That looks a decent size

Seen a few people knocking the emirates as a stadium which I don’t get. I think it’s superb even 20 years in, and Arsenal fans in general have always loved it.

It's a shallow, corporate, concrete bowl. Great facilities but it is there to make money.

Bramley Moore is first and foremost built for football fans. It is a whole different level to the Emirates in that regard.

I think it’s awful. The seats are so far apart it impacts on atmosphere. I’m sure it set up at like 1.3 seat ratio so they could increase capacity easily. Could be wrong

Nope.

Spot on. One of the worst modern stadium I’ve been to. The Highbury cemetery atmosphere has maintained itself, across this newer new one - even arsenal fans complain it’s got a poor atmosphere- which is ironic really since they are the ones responsible for making the noise.

Think you might have accidentally answered your own point there mate.

Meraki, 10 streets social, Murphy’s and Bramley Moore.

Invisible Wind Factory and Blackstock Warehouse both likely to open.

Few others already with planning permission.

Don’t think that will end up being a problem.

My theory is 4 sided grounds win every time. Goodison was the first one in the world. Tiered stands help too, not bowls where the back row is quater of a mile from the pitch. Goodison wss the first 2 tier 4 sider and the first triiple decker.

Highbury was a proper 4-sided ground and they moved to Ashburton becuse it was the style at the time. They didnt need to. E.g. Palace stayed at Selhurst Park which isn't that different to Highbury, and they can still watch PL.footy and buy a pie for less than 10 quid.

Some clubs' matchdays died by moving to bowls (Arsenal, Reading, Bolton, Leicester, Southampton)

Other clubs like Brighton, Man City and Sunderland have moved from 4-siders to bowls and made it work. The difference, I think, is the people you fill it with. If your fans are all tourists or spending 30 mins on halftime you're never gonna get a song going.

Other clubs like Brentford, Coventry, Doncaster, Wimbledon, Juventus chose to build a new 4-siders becsuse they knew their atmosphere depends on it.

Arsenal fans like to sing Arsenal Arsenal Arsenal all game and then they wonder why the other team's fans diont give them any 'bantz'. And then they dare to comment on the atmosphere at away games. We csn igmore those football phrasebook tunnel dwellers.

Tottenham rebuilt their ground on the same spot and it's a fantastic stadium but 2 songs and some warbling noises aint gonna cut it for 90 minutes.

West Ham effed up big time. No question.

If people are singing loud and proud, and they have plenty of somgs, there'll be an atmospherr. Evertonians have got it all in spades. And weve got the 4-sider feel in BMD, it's best of both worlds.

Here's to Keane, Neville and Carragher shyting themselves pitchside when the noise hits them.

Tbf to Arsenal it would have been very difficult to redevelop Highbury when both the side stand facades were listed buildings.

When I was a kid
Nearly every pub ran one of these for both reds and blues I use to get the one from Huyton labour club and sometimes given the job of going along the coach with the hat for tips for the driver.
I started on the Farmers coach, then the Eagle one run by Eddie Cavanagh and then by car. Used the Huyton labour one on the odd occasion. Days when getting the match was very easy.
