New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Anyone know what bars will be open tomorrow around the ground? Staying at the Titanic so preferably within that vicinity (Obviously know the Bramley Moore will be, but any others?)
Murphy's Distillery should be open, as will the Bramley Moore. Otherwise, honestly, I think it's either a town job or Vauxhall Road and Stanley Road.

We're planning on going to the Denbigh and walk, to simply gauge it for next season.

I'm looking forward to all the complaints and fault finding tomorrow...
I'm already preparing my 'Give your head a wobble,' responses for the inevitable complaints. People need to remember it's a new ground, new technology...

... new staff and, most importantly, it's not even fully fitted out yet. There'll be queues, there'll be issues and make sure your eat and drink beforehand.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • To enter Everton Stadium using a digital ticket and for queuing lanes to be in use
  • Digital screens at the turnstiles offering guidance on how to enter using your digital ticket
  • Potential queues - turnstiles/access points are being used for the first time and stewarding protocols may be being tested
  • Wayfinding signage and stewards who can help you locate your seats and stadium facilities
  • Restricted access to some areas of the South Stand at certain times when stewarding protocols may be tested
  • Limited food and soft drink options on the South Stand concourses
  • An in-seat ordering service for wheelchair users and their PAs/companions will be available
  • Fantastic views from a near-capacity South Stand
  • The opportunity to experience safe standing (if allocated a ticket in the lower tier of the South Stand)
  • Exclusive content on the stadium’s big screens pre-match and at half-time
As expected, there is no ale tomorrow as the licence is yet in place for it until test events done. There'll be limited food and drink options.

Yeah, expecting lots of footage - but would really like to watch it live.

It’s not the usual situation where the club might be concerned ticket sales would suffer.

It’s a big occasion, would be nice for us all to be able to share in it.

Agreed.

Wouldn't the camera gantry etc be part of the testing?

Not for health and safety of course but to iron out any teething issues.

The whole media process will need a period of familiarisation and testing. It takes a lot of equipment and staff to televise a game, so that'll come at some point.

While understandably there's lots of interest from the fans not attending, the club are rightly focusing on a scaled roll-out, and reducing the chance of hiccups.

The focus tomorrow is on the safety of getting in off Regent Road, the turnstiles and stewarding etc. Why set yourself up for more complaints etc?

I would have liked to have watched it live as it's incredibly exciting and I didn't get a ticket for it.

I know some people will look to complain about anything, despite knowing it's a brand new mega project being tested - I'm not one of those people and will of course respect any hiccups and sympathise with the staff working in a totally new environment.

My Kopite Brother in Law said it’s boring and not what he’d want a new stadium to look like.

As if he’ll ever get a choice with them tramps. He’s obviously the thicker part of the family.

What would they know about a new stadium?

They are essentially a hermit crab with a botched loft extension.

Murphy's, come out the hotel at the ground end and turn left, about 500 yards along on the same side as hotel.. Sure I saw them advertise saying £2.50 a pint
