New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

I agree, redevelopment of a derelict district a mile from the Pier Head graces is needed more. Whether a site that nobody else would touch with somebody else's bargepole is right for occasional leisure use is open to debate. Can't be taken seriously until any funding streams are realised. Obviously need to move from GP soon, but could BMD seriously be the answer in the current commercial state of the club? Proof needed as regards depth of Moshiri's pockets/interest or his friendships.

His best mate is worth about 12bn and he himself worth over 2bn I think he will be fine finding funds

Will summarise it,
UNESCO threaten to take away world heritage status (again)
Joe Anderson says “go ed then” 25,000 jobs and 1.5 billion pounds pumped in to the city is more important. I agree

We had the same where I live. A long strip of the city center has 2 cathedrals and a medieval belfry and is UNESCO listed. The city decided to knock up this weird, acoustically engineered shed thing in between them for concerts and such. UNESCO demand it gets removed again, mayor says "My gaff, my rules".

Having and losing the status probably gives more public awareness to Liverpool than if we kept it with derelict docks. People are more likely to read up why the city was awarded the title in the first place and make a decision to come see the three graces/Albert dock etc. off the back of it. Win win for the city.

It's time to lose it and let Peel build the sort of buildings they were going to when they submitted the plans first time around. That way it may block out the true eyesore in the city skyline. The analfield hole punch.

You'd think Unesco lashing ludicrous demands at places and stripping them of their accreditation is counter productive to their own existence. It'll get to a point where nowhere worth bothering with is unesco listed

It is their job to be fair, the characteristics of in the interlocking docks is unique- if the characteristics of the docks becomes distorted so it is not unique any more then the site shouldnt be listed

So in your world the financial crisis only lasted one year
Meanwhile back in the real world it lasted from 2008 to 2014/15 and its effects are still being felt around the world
But yet didn’t affect seasons: 2007/08, 2008/09, 2009/10, 2010/11. Your theory is flawed on that basis.

Bit of an odd trend, isn’t it? Liverpool is still enduring government cuts, yet the attendances are as consistently high as ever in the Premier League era.
