New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

It's a mirage. I honestly have no idea how people are enthusiastic about this. It has typical Everton stadium fantasy written all over it.

Funding: "still looking"
Stadium designs: "still consulting"
Planning application: "still preparing"

2 years of utter BS.

I think this time round everyone involved is just being extra extra precourious, especially looking at the issues Spurs having with their new gaff, I still think it'll happen but not until they are 100% sure that everything will be in place given the area

Is this article explicitly linking the goodison legacy development with the BMD project? As in any firm announcements around BMD build times will be concurrent with Goodison work? This is the first time I have seen both been so clearly linked. If so, we're adding complexity which will add time.

Not looked into this thread for about 2 weeks and I do like the progress I note over the last couple of pages in the whole square-rhombus-parallelogram debate. As for the funding and fan questionnaires and transport issues, I think we have at least a Brexit and Usmanov situation to go through before we'll get more than a Blue Bill Fan Consultation message.

3148 pages and many, many more to go....

I'll tell you what doesn't help the situation - and is going to start to grate very badly if it continues: DBB's managerial speak. It is utter bollocks and makes a bad situation even worse.

It's an insult to our intelligence.

The 'developments' aren't there so dont try and argue they are.

This club has learned nothing in the last two decades of promising stadiums and delivering f.a.

The more they use this insubstantial jargon the more it looks like not happening.

Everton: NSNO in terms of flannel and BS. No one does it better.

The fume when this inevitably goes tits will be biblical and we'll be a laughing stock. I know I sound dramatic, but I genuinely can't see this happening.

Yeah this will be it for fans with Everton if we don’t get this right. They really can’t afford not to deliver this and to me that means they will most likely not.

Biblical levels of fume pending

Hilarious how many times they want to ‘consult’ the fans.

A few months will make that December, a few months after that is when the United Kingdom will leave the European Union, throwing the country into the unknown. Very coincidental timing, considering they announced our intention to relocate here over 18 months ago.

Funny this consult the fans when most fans have requested 60,000 they will most likely ignore and do 50,000.

I am really concerned now about this, after I attended the first set of meetings I was concerned it was more an explanation for not listening to us but we will give you some wooden seats.

I don’t know her CV but the fact we didn’t get a big hitter to replace Sun Tan Bob still grates on me.

You cross the ball, I'll head it home.

Analysis paralysis is the phrase that comes to mind with all this consultation.

They have to continue it of course in the absence of funding.

That's the crux of this - vacuous waffle and the need for feedback would disappear immediately if and when there is cash on the table.

Until then, it's as you were and it looks like we have months of this ahead.

Reading that article today did not give me any renewed confidence. It just reinforces in my mind the top heavy executive structure DBB has installed, there seems to be directors for everything and everyone needing a title of some sort.

It BMD gets built eventually then it will all be worth it but at the very least it seems that getting this started is proving to be infinitely more complex than anticipated and whilst I'm sure they have put a huge amount of work in, the last 18 months of that has delivered nothing of any substance.

DBB gave loads of current employees new titles and Directorships, then re-employed a couple of people. No new blood or ideas into club. Just the same people making the same poor decisions and mistakes. Colin Chong was appointed from within after an exhaustive worldwide search, just like DBB and Elstone before her. Jobs for the boys or old school tie network? Dan Meis has been in the employ of Everton since December 4th 2015 & we still haven't seen a render. We were told PP would go in before end of 2017 by RE, Then it was before end of 2018. I will be very surprised if we ever get beyond the fan consultation stage with this current attempt to move to a new stadium. No decision on new stadium capacity. No decision on new stadium design. No decision on new stadium funding. This is going nowhere. We will still be at Goodison 10 years from now. If anybody can you provide any sort of proof that this project is making anything other than glacial pace progress I would be happy to see it.

Just saw that on Twitter. They're doing yet another fan consultation! Christ, they should've gathered by now that the fans want blue seats.
Thing is they shouldn't be consulting the fans at all on this, its far too important to be asking fans, the only people they should consult are experienced professionals who have a full understand on what is going on, what is needed and what the outcome will be if planned correctly. You only have to look at the mess the Government made consulting the public on Brexit to see what happens when you throw things out there to people who dont really know what they want
