New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Whilst waiting for any news...
Just out of interest if you are a season ticket holder would you take a seat in the New Ground in the same seat location if offered, or opt to move to a new area completely... this is assuming they built it as per the designs Dan Meis showed in them workshops...

Also would you opt to apply for additional season ticket if given the chance...

I’m in the Top Balcony but would love to sit in that designed home end, the “Gwladys Street, End replacement” , so to speak, if I had the chance.

I would also like to, if possible, take up a second adjacent season ticket seat wherever I ended up sitting, for a family member.

Curious how others would choose, if the options were provided?

I'm in the TB and will be trying to move to the home end at BMD. I think you also have to factor in that there may be little comparison with what you currently have and what will be on offer. The related TB in the new stadium looks to be much further away from the pitch as none of the stands are overlapping.

We've got a better train network than most provincial cities, but there is still a significant percentage of local people who don't live that close to a station. Moreover, there will be a finite number of people you can move per hour by train given the maximum number of carriages and frequency allowed given the technology involved. On another note, the trains are already very busy with shoppers etc on Saturday afternoons. I still think that the key player in getting people to and from is the humble bus, particularly as neither the Dock Road nor Great Howard Street are anywhere near as busy as the likes as County Road.
Agreed with your point about trains being rather full post match Saturdays with shoppers etc...hence to fully work extra trains would need to be laid on.
However this is easily said than done and ofcourse extra services cannot be guaranteed as this would be dependant on extra stock and drivers being available ( something the club may also need to contribute to in terms of funding these)

If BMD ever gets built its going to be a nightmare getting away after. Parking will be worse than Goodison. Even if a new station is built it would need Merseyrail to put more trains on at peak times. Every 5 minutes not every 15 like now. They run them every 3 minutes at Wembley Park for example.

Well I will be leaving the car at home when it's built and will be getting a mix of either the bus, train and boat.
So that's 1 car less and me in the pub spending more to boost the local economy, you can thank me at your leisure.

Good for you. I wonder if any of the closed pubs near BMD will get re-opened.if they are still standing. Just a thought.

Nice thought. Let's be honest, you can forget about capacity, naming rights, transport issues, financing and what the legacy of Goodison Park might be, the burning question is where are we going for a pint. I think the pubs on Dale Street will do a bomb. Fiver in a cab. Cheers.

Just saw that on Twitter. They're doing yet another fan consultation! Christ, they should've gathered by now that the fans want blue seats.

It's a mirage. I honestly have no idea how people are enthusiastic about this. It has typical Everton stadium fantasy written all over it.

Funding: "still looking"
Stadium designs: "still consulting"
Planning application: "still preparing"

2 years of utter BS.

I'm completely with you on this - it's pie in the sky stuff! With the amount of time that's gone by, there should be spades in the ground.

There's gotta be some kind of funding issue as they're clearly trying to buy themselves more time.
