It's legit, but its hardly ground breaking news that we already don't know.

And no matter how often the press or other supporters take the Micky, because its often the case, neither is a stadium delay but obviously the sooner you move in the quicker you can you take in more gate money to help towards paying back the big mortgage payments.
No planning permission as of yet, so nothing will happen with regards to the start of the buiild for the stadium itself.
That start date has 1/8/20 has probably been like that for months.
The latest information added on the 28th was that planning permission will be granted in Autumn and negotiations with preferred bidder. We knew last week that the decision for planning was going to be October. We also knew Laings are the preferred bidder months ago.
The person who inputted that data , will also have hundreds of other projects to update on the Glenigans database.

I get your point but. Goodison is far enough away to not effect the construction of BM its a cheaper build as we aren't right in the middle of London like you guys where access to the mersey means bulk goods can be sourced straight to the site.
Personally I'm expecting a delay due to the complexity of the work site but I would expect it will be close to the number one priority for liverpool as a post recovery plan.

A report circulated on social media suggested that work on the site would begin this weekend
Construction work will not commence on Everton's proposed stadium site at Bramley-Moore Dock this weekend.
A report shared on social media from Glenigan suggested that work on the waterfront area would begin on August 1 and run for approximately three years.
The company provide up-to-date information on construction projects across the UK to aid various suppliers and other business opportunities.
But it has been confirmed no construction work on the site will take place until determination of planning application on the project is secured, which is still expected later this year.
The ECHO understands both Everton and contractors Laing O’Rouke are, however, currently developing a detailed design and delivery programme - which will require some site surveying work to be carried out in the coming weeks.
That could include some activity at Bramley-Moore Dock before a decision is made on the club's application, although it would not involve any construction.
The club submitted a detailed planning application to Liverpool City Council for their proposed new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock in December 2019.
Designs for the new ground were released the previous July and were met with huge acclaim from supporters ahead of a second stage of public consultation.

Last week, the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority released their post-COVID-19 Economic Recovery Plan - with the ground being one of the key points.
The report says the cost of Everton building the new stadium will be “in the region of” £500m and confirms that “final negotiations are underway” with investors over funding for the project.
However, no construction will take place until planning determination is confirmed - which is due in the autumn

Those nice Tory boys, more or less abolishing Planning Regulations in order to hasten building projects such as housing, schools and hospitals. I looked closely for the section on new football stadia, but they'd obviously mistakingly omitted ours.
