New Everton Stadium Discussion

You may not like his approach to designing BMD or his behaviour in communicating via social media, but this seems a fairly extreme (and physically permanent) action if he is just trying to curry favour with fans insincerely. Could it be that he really does see this as a huge responsibility, bearing in mind that it will shape/define this club and its future for the next 100 years? Meis seems to understand our history and the work that we do in the community. Perhaps he is genuine Dave.

It's not though.

Regardless of that, and call me old fashioned, but I'd rather a man tasked with the job of creating Everton's home for the next hundred years wasn't trying desperately to be one of the County Road cutters and restricted himself to his drawing board.

You're old fashioned. Is there anything that you don't judge people on?

Whether he 'gets' the club or not, this project is a big part of his professional career at the moment and maybe he, as a designer, just wants to mark that with a tattoo.

I am really positive about the stadium now, despite the naysayers, I know Dan is just building the passion as with any client, but at least he's not a faceless company, who would show less transparency and less communication.
I welcome his new found Everton passion and I hope that it drives him on to create his most iconic work - maybe Evertonians can be created after all.

How will other supporters change their travel to and from the game if/when we are at the new ground?
I imagine it would be simple enough for anybody who lives near a train station, for me it will be a little more hassle than it is now (we live in West Derby) but it would mean more reasons to stop for beers in town. I don't think using the car will be the way forward for us, but what about other people?

Borrow to spend, then loan to repay borrowing?

Worlds biggest payday loan this malarky.

Or have I missed something?
All sounds very complicated. He’s been on one of his Twitter rampages again. Probably still drunk from yesterday.

Good news that an announcement is due soon, though. Hopefully we’ll get to know the full details and how we’re funding the rest.

Aye, lets see.

But he does my nut with his random tweets like that one. Just lobs even more mud into an already muddy puddle.

He’s likes the sound of his own voice, does Joe.

A lot of egomaniacs are involved in this project, but you find that in every walk of life.

He is wetting himself in excitement cos he knows the narrative. Y'know, the one a few on here started to work out a while ago.

Hope they are on the right page.

Wow! What a pointless gripe.
