Just to let people know , to most people outside of the commonwealth the commonwealth games are an irrelevance and will have no bearing on wether they visit the city or not.
A 60.000 seater stadium. ( which can be used for concerts etc) a cruise line terminal , a Beatles experience attraction , convention centres , bars restaurants and high quality accommodations are things that will encourage people to visit.
Wether or not Liverpool get the games won't affect the clubs plans.
Moshiri won't let his plans and ideas be sidetracked for a one weeek sideshow

The council might have had some say in that.Luckily a moot point now.

It wasn't funding a thing though was it? Just paying for it's own temporary inclusion and removal.

Hardly surprising seeing has anyone seen what the stadium would even look like. It's supposed to be the centre piece to any bid.

The deal we did with the council has nothing to do with the commonwealth games

Will be interesting to see how we proceed with the Stadium without the safety net of the Commonwealth Games carrot.

One thing for certain is this club desperately needs a state of the art facility to compete.
This stadium move has to go ahead, no corners cut.
We can miss out on transfer targets, that is the nature of things, but a new stadium is an absolute must.

I expect to see this move forward quickly now.
