I sure hope we dont get a massive stadium naming deal, or a huge shirt sponsorship. Much less making good money from the stadium operations. It seems that the more successful we are, the quicker the owners will sell us on. We want them to never make a penny so that they're here long-term, dont we @davek

Congratulations, davek is the first and hopefully only one in my ignore list. He is either clinically depressed or here to wind people up. I hope it's the latter in which case ignoring him is the right thing to do. He has 0 useful input in any thread here. He just invents stuff up that makes the club look as bad as possible. Latest messages are a case in point: he somehow knows what Friedkin's are planning to do with Everton and it's of course to bleed the club dry. Because I guess investors only buy companies to do that.

It's like coming up with the idea we are linked to some [Poor language removed] player for 30 million even though it has not been reported anywhere, not even the worst blarg sites and then getting upset about it and telling how stupid our transfer policy is.

And then repeating this day after day after day, many times every day.
I’ve got him on ignore, but he still takes away from pretty much every thread you read. It’s been going on for years, and really does impact negatively on GOT.

We want a sovereign wealth fund.

Hopefully this lot are the 'Shinawatra' owners and the 'Mansour' owners are a couple of years down the line..

This lot cant hand us the firepower we need to smash right back into the elite. But you be my guest to sup the Kool Aid a bit more...

So cos they arent a sovereign wealth fund we should call them TEXANS and go for them at every turn?

Judge them on what they do for the club, not what you THINK they should do.

Their next test is the Summer transfer window, judge them on actions.

I’m sure they’re fully aware of the investment opportunities around the new stadium, naming rights of said stadium and how television deals compare with the Italian leagues. I’d be surprised if they risk those investments by not putting money into the footballing side of things.
Depends what they then do with that cash.

Taking the emotion out of it and tribalism - if an owner had two clubs: one that was near being successful again in terms of trophies and CL qualification and one that's not but which makes more cash than the other almost successful club that owner would seek to channel cash from one to the other in some way shape or form.

Just makes sense that way.

I wouldn't;t trust TFG as far as I could throw them.

They need watching in every decision they make.

All owners are guilty until proven innocent.

That's my motto based on experience.

Kenwright, Gregg, Earl, Green, Moshiri...how many examples do you need to wake up and realise these people are here to exploit Everton?

Exploit Everton?

Moshiri walked away 600m lighter, wasnt his money of course, but he didnt exploit anything, he did leave us a nice shiny new Stadium tho.

TFG have bought Everton to make money, to turn a profit on their investment, they only get a return by making us successful, if they make us successful and make billions, I really dont care.

Did he bollocks.

He left a £750M debt for it.

Keep taking the Kool Aid.

A debt which Everton will pay, yes.

But we are still left with a new Stadium.

Theres no kool aid been drunk here.

I want to see action, not words, I dont care if they wave a flag at Goodison or go to Bramley Moore, I want them to dig deep into their pockets and spend money on our current shoddy squad of players.

They cant do that till the Summer, so in the Summer I will judge them on their actions.

Moshiri gets credit for having the vision and determination to get the stadium off the ground...but he's saddled us with a debt that only owners with unimaginable wealth (not the Toyota used car salesmen) can pay off for us....other wise it'll be the fans that pay it off over the next 30 years.
