Absolutely delighted with TFG's calm leadership. The biggest decision they could've made, they've already made.... appointing an actual manager. Our PL survival is almost secured because of this decision.

My second worry, was the transfer window just gone. I didn't want them to bring in squad fillers/numbers as we don't yet have the headroom to waste finances that way. Alcaraz strikes me as an eventual first team player, so is an understandable signing.

I don't need to hear from TFG, I need them to exercise calm leadership. Thus far, they've shown that.
As long as this is followed up in the summer with at least 7 quality signings, then I agree with every word you've just said.

If Paul Barber was definitely coming here wouldnt Brighton have put him on leave?

I think you're underestimating the power of fans. Johnson couldn't hold on any more and sold to Kenwright. Kenwright couldn't hold on any longer and sold up to Moshiri. Moshiri couldn't hold on any longer and sold to TFG.

The GFE Group, KEIOC, Blue Union, AllTogetherNow...our fans in the last 30 years have put up a fight and got results along the way.
Think you’re overstating the impact of fans there. Kenwright obviously ignored us for years and Moshiri was just way out of his depth trying to run a business he didn’t understand in any way whatsoever.

Johnson sold cos he ran out of money.
Kenwright had the fans on his back for 10 years, didnt budge
And I never really saw much fan discontent to Moshiri, strangely.

Like or not, but the fans do ZIP im afraid.

Agree - look at United with their US owners safely based in Florida. Pilloried by fans with games postponed and in the media but they're still there. It's only when the cash dries up that they might run.

Just for the people who cba clicking ...

Everton’s new Friedkin Group owners have landed a significant coup by hiring a former key executive of Liverpool’s owners Fenway Sports Group and Chelsea’s co-owners Clearlake Capital.

Dave Beeston was poached from FSG by Clearlake Capital only five months ago, but Telegraph Sport can reveal he has left his role as managing director and is understood to have agreed to join the Friedkin Group in a sports-only chief executive position.

This seems to be something US-based and not really relevant to us as far as I can see.
