Just watched episode 2 of Loki - admittedly it is a fantastically cast drama with great special effects, music and plot but I could not see one person who I'd not prefer as manager instead of Benitez.

in fact just appoint Gugu Mbatha-Raw, it would advance the club a decade overnight and we'd all appreciate it.

I just don't understand the Rafael one...

Imagine the toxic Atmosphere if we lose our first game or even 2 in a row..

Surely they have enough people round the club to say, this is probably a bad idea..

An Anfield drubbing with the Kop singing his name throughout will be an absolute delight as well.

Bruce spent millions more and had a higher level squad to start with.

That is true. And a lot of Newcastle fans say the big thing Bruce did was just keep the defensively solidity he got from Benitez's backline, which is quite smart from Bruce but I'm not sure he built it from scratch.

I do think Newcastle fans overrate him, but it's important not to go the other way.
