Regarding Duncan Ferguson,

I think at the age of 50 is a bit late to want to start your management career, I agree with others that he should go away and manage a team to prove he is worth a shot at the top of this club. OR manage another team inside the club.

I think the club are beyond taking chances on new appointments, like I`ve said before you cant guarantee success with big names but it is less risky than taking an unproven coach.

Simon Jordan made a good point today on TalkSport, he said Ferguson has a job for life at Everton but if he becomes manager and gets sacked that is pretty much it for him at this club. Im not convinced he good do the job.....

Its all very well sat here with many saying we should get a manager that has managed below the levels of Everton so he grows with the club, we have tried that 4 of the last 5 managers! We have literally FAILED with what most are suggesting! We have only tried 1 manager of the world class variety, OK we finished 10th but also broke our Arsenal and Analfield hoodoo, in hindsight he was not interested towards the end. Had he been fully committed I think he would have finished higher and I firmly believe we would have qualified for Europe next season with a few additions.

So would you give the appointment the thumbs up? Not sure I would

If NES was the man would they not have offered him the position already ? Maybe there waiting on someone else to come back to them , possible someone at a club already and EFC are waiting to see if whoever it was they’d be interested. Ferguson isn’t the man at this moment in time. We need to bring in stability, a manager who hopefully will be here for 3/4 seasons !!
It’s a tricky one. As you’d think with the rumours we spoke to Nuno 4/5 days ago. He’s definitely not first choice, that’s not to say we come back to him. And does that rule out a few other free agents, though I suppose it takes a while to get round them all.

Will Nuno wait or take the palace job? Hopefully the latter

Its easy to see which signings were whos... Godfrey and Doucs were Brands James and Allan were Carlo. I think whoever the new manager is has to be told to work with the players Brands brings in.
This doesn't make the point for me that some think it does. Like Doucoure a Brands signing? That's not great.

lee carsley getting the england u21 job, could be an option for us in 18 months when the new manager gets sacked/walks out

Bielsa.

Lives above a corner shop, asks for his salary to be given to good causes, has inspirational quotes from Das Kapital plastered on every wall and leads a rendition of The Internationale before every training session.
Wonder how much of his huge salary he gives to good causes? Klipperty and Ferguson are good for a Socialist sound bite though.
