I understand that. However do you have any RS mates ??????????????????? Half my mates that I grew up with are RS. These are some of my best mates who would do anything for me (and vice versa) at the drop of a hat. Will they rib me if we got Rafael yeah of course they would .Would it stop me following or renewing my season ticket ... my answer would be NO. The club is bigger than any manager and any player in my heart.

Liverpool fans are generally fine when not talking about football.

When it comes to football though they are more often than not utter bellends. And the problem is they talk about football a LOT because it "means more" etc. Their accent also seems to go 50% more scouse when doing so which is odd.

So it seems like the shortlist has been whittled down to 4/5 candidates. None of whom particularly set the pulses racing and one of whom is an avowed enemy of the club lol

There are sites you can visit, a few good buys a lot of awful ones, the point I'm making is he wasnt starved of cash there, neither was he at Newcastle, he may not have had the funds of the top 6 teams while at the Geordies but he was given money, plus the fact a hell of a lot wont take toward him being here, so unless he has a great start there will be screams to get him out before Christmas, it's not an appointment I would consider at all

Who did he buy at Liverpool?

Torres
Xabi Alonso
Mascherano
Luis Garcia
Dirk Kuyt
Crouchy
Glen Johnson
Agger
Skrtel
Pepe Reina
Benayoun
Momo Sissoko
Fabio Aurelio
Zenden
Raheem Sterling
Jonjo Shelvey
Suso
Insua
Ayala
Paletta

He also wanted to buy Aguero, Vidic, Dani Alves, David Silva and Aaron Ramsey at Liverpool, but the club wouldn't sanction the moves. So he was hamstrung.

At Newcastle he was promised money which never materialised. He was given his 5th or 6th choice signings. News has come out recently that he had a deal in place for Bruno who went to Man Utd and Ruben Dias who joined City.

He has a very good eye for talent. Don't forget he also signed Casameiro, Danilo, Kovacic and Lucas Vasquez at Madrid. Advised Liverpool to purchase Coutinho from him at Inter, when he was leaving. Had scouted Luis Suarez at Liverpool for 18 months before he joined at which point Rafael had already left, Jorginho, Higuain, Koulibaly, Mertens, De Guzman, Callejon, Albiol, Gabbiadini at Napoli. Almiron, Schar, Fernandez, Dubravka, Rondon at Newcastle.

Rafael and Dunc currently at Finch Farm.

You need to get your [Poor language removed] out of Rafael

Whoever you take has to sort out the culture of EFC and that is a task beyond most men.

We need to be dragged into the modern era of football. It’s why someone like Potter wouldn’t be a bad shout, although if he has the ability to bring that sort of change to a club so set in its ways is the question.

He always blames owners.

Plays fans against owners at every turn.

My perception (and it’s only a perception) of Rafael’s teams are that they’re very much of the sit-back, defend and counter-attack. They’ve never been wildly exciting to watch.
Whether that’s correct or not… it’d be. I’ve to have more expert opinion.

I initially voted Potter , still believe its the right call , but conviction behind the call is more due to limited candidates that stick out rather than being totally convinced , also we have had a number of managers in a short timescale with varied management styles , experience etc , etc ?

Therefore I feel lets go for a less experienced candidate , someone whom is not going to jump ship as soon as one of the big clubs comes calling EG Conte and will be given time to rebuild ?
Nuno Santo is a candidate I would have voted for before last season and is 2nd on my short list , the reason I didn't vote for him is he seemed to show limitations when his main players were injured , at Everton he could / will face the same predicament ?

After Carlo whom was almost unanimously backed Its going to be a tough choice , whichever way it goes based on the posts with very divided opinions , lets hope we get it right , we supporters deserve a change of fortune and a team to be proud of for a change
