We did get a thing in one of the papers about Baines getting a new contract this morning mate before it was announced

Haha true that, but it is unusual timing doing it now when in three weeks they could do it to make them seem busier and mask lack of activity

On the pitch its not been his best year - but he is not alone there by any stretch. Leadership however goes much further and deeper than 90 minutes a week on the pitch!
