Not thought that maybe he is staying after all. I think he is. This Neville thing also hints at it. Moyes has obviously 'forced' him to make this decision by basically telling him he's not in his plans. If Moyes was a cert to leave im pretty sure Neville would wait to see what the new manager would want to do with him...
Agreed. Quite happy about it, if that's how it works out.

Gibson for me, Jags and Baines a bit quiet.
the louder players tend to act as captains anyway, good or bad, someone with a bit of quiet authority usually benefits from the responsibility and just from what I remember about playing its good to have someone who takes you to one side to chat rather than bollocks you in front of team. Jags for definite

If you asked me 9 months ago I would've said Johnny Heitinga. If only for that sholdur he laid into Cole in the penalty shoot out...

Surely Ossie with Jags as vice?

Older, more experience, local lad, vital part of the starting XI (like Jags admittedly), important for team moral (always making people laugh) and well spoken/intelligent off the pitch.

Don't get me wrong it's not who I'd go for but that's what I reckon we'll do. Depending on who we sign over summer. Reckon Pip will still get a run-out before the end of the season anyway for the applause so the decision can wait till after summer.
may have to hold fire on Ossie on account contract talks are in limbo

Personal choice woulda been for bainsey, just everything about him is class, from never missing time to being his own biggest critic and striving to push himself on to better, plus loyal as they come to the club and a all round quality lid.

Jags a decent option like just a bit worried that at his age it doesn't seem like one for the future, maybe 2 years left as a first choice due to his pace never being the greatest, baines imo you could lock down the captaincy for the next 5-6 years easy
