It IS laughable like. "Good" mill owners and worker-friendly aristocrats. An absolute wrecking ball through social history, courtesy of arch hagiographer Julien Fellowes.2 eps in. I tuned in to laugh at how awful it was going to be and I found myself enjoying it.
I really can't stand that fat Tory blert. Epitomises everything wrong with the British political system. It IS laughable like. "Good" mill owners and worker-friendly aristocrats. An absolute wrecking ball through social history, courtesy of arch hagiographer Julien Fellowes.
I'm up to episode two also...where the Baines look-a-like Fergus Suter stabs his striking team mates in the back.
Indeed...the great British class system is alive and still keeping the workers in their "place"I really can't stand that fat Tory blert. Epitomises everything wrong with the British political system.
The only decent thing on his CV is Gosford Park, certainly doesn't qualify him for a seat in the Lords.

Traditional English 'football', Atherstone style...
A 'Shrove Tuesday' tradition..apparently!
I was wondering about this but Umbro weren't founded until the 1920's. I looked into it a bit and if they were basing it on anyone it is most likely Bukta who were founded in 1879 in Stockport. Their kits were first used by Nottingham Forest in1884 so the timing pretty much lines up.Ayone reckon the fella who starts his own business up manufacturing footy shirts is meant to be Umbro?
