Net Spend

#FFP is the study of clubs finances of which I am master practitioner.

I'm hereby calling on Martinez to go out and spend some of the money I know he/EFC has available.

On problem positions (CB and winger)

"Of which I am the master practitioner"

Oh my word!!!!

The fact the fees are in instalments does not effect his nett spend. They will still be paid.

Yes it does. Its a net spend in a certain period.

If its in instalments that spend has yet to be made and can't be included in a net spend on that date.

Also if TV payments exceed the instalments in later periods. It isn't actually a net spend (to the club as a whole) as we're taking in more money than we are actually paying out. So the net result is that we are still in the black in cashflow terms

Cash flow is more meaningful than net spend anyway.

Well there's two people now who have similar numbers as each other and others who see the numbers stack up.

Yet you choose to make up the transfer fees yourself and clearly must have an agenda if you are ignoring the fact that some players are stopgaps.

How someone can not see a short term free transfer as a stopgap I will never understand unless they have an agenda. Yet this is apparently increasing the age of the squad despite it being a short term measure and clearly not the target of the manager whose blatantly spending the money he has on one or two players each window then picking up squad fillers with the rest.

Quite frankly it feels like youre eating popcorn here as theres no other logical explanation.

Haha how can I have an agenda when I'm not even trying to put a point across. All I've done in this thread is point out how you're making it up as you go along. Funnily enough to fit your agenda

Hahaha youre the one making up numbers.

Kone
Joel
Mcgeady
McCarthy
Lukaku
Besic
Galloway
Barry

It's actually 8. I've gone over all the figures with you before but you continue to just ignore them.

You're literally making stuff up as you go along

TBH our main signings were two of last years lonees i.e. Barry and Lukarku which never added numbers to the squad also the sale of Duffy may have been a mistake!

It doesn't matter how much you go on about it, it has no relevance to Martinez's nett spending how he's spent his money.

You saw an opportunity to bring up your obsession with ffp and took it. It's irrelevant

Haha Bizarro is talking about something totally different to you,

"Yet this is apparently increasing the age of the squad"

Apparently!?!? It is increasing the age of the squad. He has done exactly that there is no disputing that (well by anyone who doesn't make things up).

Shouldn't we be leaving the Net spend to the Kopites to discuss, that does not excuse this manager from taking a constant top 7 regular (including his first season) to our current plight, plus the focus should be what he has spent and that is close to 50 million which averages out at 25 per season and this squad that has been assembled with said money should not have it's fans worried about a relegation dogfight. Fukkin simple as that.

What utter nonsense.

It is directly relevant. It dictates what money Martinez has available to spend at any time.

As bizarro pointed out jelavic 7.5 mil.

I also forgot to add forshaw money.

So my figure is dead on or actually slightly too high depending on the undisclosed amounts which you have chosen to fabricate.

Surely you can add up the numbers and see that the net spend is a pittance?

Note also that you are bringing up (continuously) stop gaps rather than actually seeing that a stopgap free transfer isnt actually bringing up the average age of the squad long term as its a short term measure...

Why?

Because any money he has had has gone on 4 players

Lukaku
Mccarthy
Kone
Besic

Of whom kone is the only disaster which brings the age up and yet hes only on a 3 year contract.

Go what bit of that post is made up?
