Net Spend

They showed that we had c£28m in the bank at the time of the accounts therefore the net debt was reduced. The overall actual debt increased by £1m (if I recall) plus a £20m+ centre forward mysteriously arrived.

No mate.

Cash inflow from operating activities
was £28.3m (2013: £3.7m). After net
payments for interest of £3.3m, net
payments on player transfers of £5.1m and
£2.4m net capital expenditure and net
cash inflows from financing of £3.0m, the
increase in cash for the year was £20.5m
(2013: £8.7m).
The Club’s net debt position reduced
significantly from £45.3m to £28.1m in
2014 despite the continued investment in
the playing squad. The net debt of the Club
has averaged £44m over the last 5 years
and is considered to be well managed with
the Club benefitting from the continued
support of long-standing lenders.

Well if youre going to include wages why not include agent fees etc? dearie me.

Howard
Baines
Hibbert
Jagielka
Distin
Osman
Pienaar
etc etc etc

all over 30....

When you say avg of players he has bought, well he's bought

Lukaku
Besic
McCarthy
Robles
McGeady

Their avg age isn't 27.

£10m is being generous. Kone £6m + a conservative £20k a week wages = £8m

Joel £1m + a conservative £10k a week = £2m

Alcaraz a conservative £20k a week wages = £2m

Makes £12m on crap that we won't get a penny back for.

An over achieving ageing squad?

The team he left contained 10 internationals and that's with Barkley and Stones waiting in the wings.

The average age of the players he's sold = 25

Average age of the players he's bought = 27

He's making the squad older he didn't inherit an ageing squad

Is that you Robert?

Dress it up how you like the debt is increasing. Read the link supplied by @Dymak

you're such a revisionist its mad, you've left out Barry, Kone, Eto & Alcaraz the oldest players. He has increased the average age of the squad its that simple.

Add that to the fact you almost halved his actual nett spend in your op

I forgot about Kone.

You're saying I halved the net spend in the opening post? Please explain how.....

Barry/Eto/Alcaraz were not bought were they...who were they bought from? they were out of contract.

The way you're literally making things up as you go along makes you look like a wum.

you say nett spend is £8.5m when most sources have it around £20m (I reckon its about £16m)

you say he bought 3 players when he's bought 7

you say he's had to address an ageing squad when hes only made it older
