Net Spend

I think honestly he should have 20-30mil in summer

He could also get rid of dross to open up wages a bit.

Selling coleman is one way to go and you never know he may get someone even better (!!)...I think mirallas will be off myself 15mil simply due to his contract.
If we got 15 million for Mirallas I think it would be wise to sell.

I don't see him having anywhere near that much to spend I'm afraid. I wish he did. I think we may have some to spend.

Our wages are less than 70 million (which is less than at least 9 other premier league teams) and we made a profit last year because of the new tv money.

If we need to cut wages before we can bring in new players, it's a disgrace frankly.

We can't keep paying the same wages that the likes of newcastle and fulham do and still try and attract and keep players who are better than the ones spurs are offering twice as much to.

That's why the likes of Mirallas are going to leave.

What he was left with was a very old squad which was 'overachieving' and playing a different style of football.

Not sure where your 10mil comes from. Jelavic and anichebe cover kone and the other two are squad fillers.

£10m is being generous. Kone £6m + a conservative £20k a week wages = £8m

Joel £1m + a conservative £10k a week = £2m

Alcaraz a conservative £20k a week wages = £2m

Makes £12m on crap that we won't get a penny back for.

An over achieving ageing squad?

The team he left contained 10 internationals and that's with Barkley and Stones waiting in the wings.

The average age of the players he's sold = 25

Average age of the players he's bought = 27

He's making the squad older he didn't inherit an ageing squad

He wanted Cleverley, but couldnt afford to buy him, he wanted a winger, but had to make do with Atsu.

He spent whatever he had last Summer, plus the club cleared a massive chunk of the debt which is prudent and dont forget we have a possible new ground that some funds will be earmarked for.

Basically, as is the Everton way, no ins before outs.

Besic is a top notch player.

Is he?

I am by no means saying he is absolute crap (unlike some of our other midfielders), but what makes you think he is 'top notch'? If he was put up for sale tomorrow, what calibre of club do you think would be in for him? And how much do you think he would be sold for?

He wouldn't fetch much more than what we paid for him, imo. He hasn't actually done anything that impressive at all. He's being hyped up as this uber talented hardman extraordinaire, when he is nothing of the sort. In fact, I actually remember him cacking himself at Tranmere when some fiery latino kicked off on him.

I recognise the lad has some potential, but 'top notch', I don't think so.

You should write novels lad.

Cos this whole post is a work of utter fiction.

If you say so mate. He's obviously a super duper hardman, he has tattoos and everything. He might even be harder than Martin Skrtl, who lets face it, is absolutely solid because he has tattoos AND a skinhead, and you can't get much more harder than that, can you?

As for his footballing ability, he is being coveted by the worlds biggest clubs, and must have a value of at least 8 million pound, that's why he is spending most of his time on the bench in one of the crappest Everton sides in living memory.

He has some potential, he is nowhere near 'top notch'.

Do you not remember the fiery Latino kicking off on him at Tranmere?

The debt hasn't been paid down at all. We bought Lukaku which wasn't in the accounts.

The accounts showed a massive reduction in debt, its not like we can take that money back, once the debt is paid, the money is gone, Lukaku was paid for via player sales and prolly a little bit of TV money.

They showed that we had c£28m in the bank at the time of the accounts therefore the net debt was reduced. The overall actual debt increased by £1m (if I recall) plus a £20m+ centre forward mysteriously arrived.

Our debt increased by about a million pound.
