If we spend less than 60 million I won't need vaulting I will need Valium to cope with the rest of the season!

15 mil net. Lookman and probably another player that we haven't heard about yet.
If Rom or Barkley goes, add on about 60 % of the transfer fee for a striker/midfielder replacement.

this thread... so much anguish, so little wisdom

we used to take pride in being smarter than the others about our spending

i'm glad we didn't end up "making a statement" by driving up our net spend on Sissoko, for instance!

or maybe we should deposit an extra £59,940,000 into Sligo Rovers account, to really show we mean business by boosting the net spend

or call up Villa and offer to retroactively pay more for Gana, since he's obviously worth more than what we initially paid and some here would honestly feel better if we'd started the season showcasing a "£25m midfielder," as if that actually meant something

this thread is so kopite

Think about £30m. Hope so anyway.

This is the window where we find out everything we need to know about Moshiri anyway.

Don't doubt Moshiris willingness to put up some money for transfers, but I seriously doubt the aptitude of senior figures at the club in dealing in the transfer market.

Optimistic (including the money received)
Out:
Gibson (on his bike) £2M Vauxhall Motors
Big McGready £2M Preston
Oumar - (Christmas) Turkey (Leftovers) £4M minus one bitten hand
Tommy C £3M Sunderland - to join the ex-Blues band
Luke Garbuge £2M Fulham
Aroundabout Anything over £2M
O V A Doh £3M - Sunderland

£18M - should buy an up and coming Lookman

In - no idea but at least 4-5 decent players £70M or so. Keeper, Centre-half, midfield x 2 or 3.. maybe a striker?

All things being equall though mate, net spenditure correlates to success, even though you'll end up overpaying for the odd player.
