2023/24 Neal Maupay

On your feet Neal!!

Can someone stop reminding me we own this clown please, atleast for the summer or his next loan agreement is sorted..

Just Imagine Maups + Beto up top.
God that hurt just writing it..🫣

I am an Evertonian, have been for many a year, I can’t remember the FA Cup win against Sheffield Wednesday but can remember Jeff Astle and West Brom in 1968. Our fortunes have somewhat diminished since then but our position as the People’s Club remained. Then Moshiri and Kenwright came together, this resulted in us hiring the likes of Fat Sam and Rafael then we bought players like Maupay, the name of a great club has been tarnished but hopefully not destroyed. In the era of ultra commercialism hopefully we can fine a way to remain in touch with the people who pay to go to the matches and still have a chance of winning something.

To be fair, if we could loan a player who'd get us 6 league goals I'd take it. 3 assists too.

1 goal every 190 minutes.

Only Calvert-Lewin (8 - 1 goal every 329 minutes) and Doucoure (7 - 1 goal every 394 minutes) managed more for us.
But his record for us, who he'd actually be coming back to is far worse than that plus he's probably the most disliked player in the Premiership, way beyond snide.

Can't be on huge wages compared to b some of our players, he'll surely be desperate to leave and Dyche obviously doesn't rate him. Surely there is a club here or abroad that can take him for a nominal fee?

I read Brentford statement as "well we don't need him.... right now".

New £35m man injured, Toney inevitably off.

That leaves? Maupay to the rescue, especially with that clause.

He wants to go and play in France.

It's why it's all very amicable/cringy. It was Maupay who told Brentford he wants to move.

A blow to them. I mean, as I say - 1 goal every 190 minutes. We can only dream of finding a striker who can deliver that for us next season. We've not that that level of prolificness since Lukaku...
In 2017/18, Niasse scored 1 every 135 mins. Was one of the best mins per goal in the league that season.

Yes especially one that doesn't fit into any system that we have played for the last 40 years

Everybody knows we need to sell. Brentford may wait until much closed to June 30th to come back for the player.
They may get a better deal then as we will be anxious to get money in.

However, some of the promoted clubs may be interested in him. He will be relatively cheap, knows the premiership and can score some goals... just not at Everton.

The good news is that he wants to leave as badly as we want to sell him.
