When your priority is being competitive enough to stay in the league, it's perhaps wise/pragmatic to go for low risk transfers.

I've felt for a long time we need a period of a few transfer windows of low risk, with potential resale signings. He's one, IMO.

He would also not offer as much as Maupay elsewhere for the team.

I actually think he looks a handful whenever I've watched Brighton. Not prolific, but he does have presence / unsettles defences.

Personally wouldn't be fussed if we got a couple of players in who offer mobility and chip in with a few goals. Think he'd help make space for DCL.

Maybe bold but we all have known that we needed a forward 4 weeks ago, should we wait until the window is closing to bring in a forward in when we could be in a position of played 6 and only 1 point,we still need another forward after Maupay
