Homepage Article NDiaye Upfront?

Another suggestion, play Charly up front, like we did with Richarlison ?

He`s strong, has good control, a nice touch, has shown he can head a ball and he knows where the goal is.

( I do know this will never happen though )
Not sure I understand this comparison? Richarlison should not have ever played wide as much as he has and he’s finally been made a full time striker by Spurs.

Well he does have experience of being a striker and has scored goals so yes why not. Couldn't possibly be worse than humpty and dumpty.

Didn't he play upfront for Sheff Utd? I know he has before for Senegal...

If Barry is seen as so far away that we'd be better off rejigging the entire team and playing people out of position than using him then whoever signed off on that purchase needs sacking immediately. I'm all for signing players for the long term but we can't be dropping £30m on players who aren't at the very least competent in the short term, especially at his age. If you're not a viable starter at 23 you'd have to say there's a decent chance you never will be.

Another option than what we have needs to be developed, he seems like the most obvious candidate given his abilities and history. We can't continue with just one other option in that spot.

It will require the three behind him to get into the box to finish more often than they have, but I think we need that anyway.

I think it's a stupid idea. His best qualities are when he's further away from goal and he's operating to try and get to it and us to it. You take that away when he's in the no. 9 role.

I disagree with the notion that the striker options aren't working either as Barry has barely been given a chance. He's started one game in the league and in that start he's been involved in both goals and we won the game. People are writing him off far too early.

Moyes seems to not rate any of the signings aside from the old one who has played in England his whole life. Personally I know where the problem is.
