Homepage Article NDiaye Upfront?

I do think his dynamism will force teams to account for him and he will drag defenders to him potentially opening up runs for other players. The goal is not to just hang him on the last man unless the run is there to be made. It is to get him to make the defenders to make mistakes and open up space. Defenders have to be very careful these days. They can't just throw leg breaking tackles left and right anymore.

…..we have to be prepared that most balls played out will come straight back, saying that it mostly happens now with what we have.

I’d stick with Beto and hope his form returns to something like it was towards the end of last season. He is what he is but he did cause CBs problems during that spell and he scored a few goals.

I think Ndiaye could play as CF, if we played dibbling on the right. My only concern would be his positioning. he might have a tendency to come really deep and then we don’t have anyone in the CF position when we have the ball.

It's just more trying to put Square pegs in Round holes

Beto proved last season he can score goals with worse players providing him but he's very limited in the system it works with him and currently Moyes isn't wanting to go for that type of system which results in Beto being ineffective, not sure about Barry, I guess it's the same but then why would Moyes sign him to play him in a bad system

We have a left winger who was once worth 100 mil and a right winger that we spent 40 mil on sitting on the bench

if the intention is to play KDH as an attacking midfielder then a discussion should be had as to whether we should try Ndiaye up front because at the moment it’s not working with Beto and Barry

We shouldn’t of been put in this position, many fans were adamant that we didn’t need another striker and that a RB was priority, not getting a striker in will be the biggest reason that this will be another mediocre season, at best. We need a striker as much today as we did two months ago and January is a nightmare market to get a striker in. The club clearly felt they we were ok in that position as there were no credible links to targets and now we’re gonna feel the effects of that negligence. It’s unfair to expect too much from Barry and most know Beto will never be good enough or anywhere near. Another season written off.
