Yeh I've been listening to reports that Pels will offer him his super max but with loads of conditions in it like Embiid got which I think his fair. If he can stay fit we'll be a force next season.

They will have to rotate deep to find mix and keep players fresh. They can run 2 lines in the season but it will get short in the playoffs.

As it goes on, a trade looks more unlikely to me. Simmons complicates things because of the rookie extension, and takes away a lot of key pieces they’d likely want for Durant

I thought KD for BI made more sense from a positional perspective, but I still don't think the Pels are in for KD. I think he should go to Toronto for Pascal, but I doubt will offer the type of insane deal Brooklyn expects to be offered.

I don’t understand why the media are saying KD to Pels automatically makes them a championship contender - I get how good he is but the sport isn’t that simple.

He’d go there for 4 years and every year they didn’t win it their chances would drop and drop unless they wasted more talent for potential immediate success. After the 4 years they’d be left with nothing.

KD + CJ is a very good team
KD + CJ + healthy Zion is a problem for most NBA teams
add in Herb, Jose, Trey, Valancuinas, Larry Nance, (assuming these don't all leave with BI) and you have a roster with extreme flexibility to fill lineups

That said, most of this is paper talk, journalists fill words and talking about what could be. Has anyone actually yet reported that the Pels are interested in a trade? (I actually heard someone on a legit podcast suggest Kyrie and KD for CJ and Zion and I had to FFWD that all the way to the end, i can't handle gibberish.)

He has to stay healthy obviously but basically any playoff team, and the Pels post trade where that even with Zion not playing, becomes a title contender adding Durant. Same as the Heat became a title contender adding LeBron then the Cavs did when he came back. Same as Brooklyn did when he turned up there. That's just how the game goes.
