Are you all that surprised?

There is NO money. Hasn't been for years and still isn't. We CANNOT afford anyone, and the budget is always minus

We have to sell to buy and if you can't belive that by now then you need to have a look at yourself

IF Fellaini, Baines or anyone else goes.. THEN we have money to spend.. but only a certain percentage, as the bank needs paying. How we are still in debt and in worse situations than clubs like Norwich and Soton, only Everton know

I bet Bill never told Martinez that when he held his interview? oh hang on "a few quid" Yep right after he sold a big name.

Martinez has been played like a piano. Penny dropped now for you Bob.

The whole reason we signed Martinez is not because '' he promised champions league '' as BK said with a big smile

Its because he knows Martinez has worked with no money, so BK can get away with it

I guarantee you Lennon or Periera, even Randwick were interested in the job but probably turned us down when BK gave them the no money news!

Why would you want Martinez who got Wigan to 15th in four seasons?!?! Over managers who have just won their respective leagues? and in Randwick who worked wonders with Shalcke

No one knows who we are trying to sign!!!!! Shush knowitalls.

I'm fairly glad we didn't sign this one, didn't look all that, probably be good next season though now I've said that.

With Everton having no cash

Wouldn't you rather risk 2m on a youngster with potential who could turn out to be great, and if not atleast we could sell and make money back

Or would you rather spent three or four times that on a 30year old whos never going to improve, and who unlikely could never be sold on at a profit?

The good thing about this transfer window is that when clubs sign players we were rumoured to be after, it doesn't really bother you because you didn't really want them that much anyway.

There's no guarantee we could get our money back at all, only if he were to establish himself in our 1st team. If he rotted in the reserves for a couple of years then what would we get?

Were we after him ?
He fits the profile of the kind of player I like to see us sign, but...were we after him really ?
Or , were we after him in the same way as the other fifty players we have been linked to ?

Say we have the potential to spend three or four times this, which we may or may not we just don't know, I would honestly rather we spent it all on a striker who would impact us right now and help this team push on. Last season we were a good striker away from challenging for fourth in my opinion. But it is all opinion of course.

From his facebook

"Nathan Redmond
it has been a very emotional 11 years for me at Birmingham City FC and i have loved every single minute of it. Coming through the ranks with Mitchell Hancox and Callum Reilly has been a journey and a half and i have loved it. I really really am going to miss it from the bottom of my heart. My nan who passed away last year always use to tell me "never forget where u have come from " Well i came from Birmingham City FC !! ONCE A BLUE ALWAYS A BLUE ... this club will remain etched on my heart and soul for life, i am just sorry that i had to leave but i am looking forward to the next step on my journey as a professional footballer. Thank you so much to you the fans for supporting me on my journey from school boy to young professional. I will always KRO !!! x yours always Nathan Redmond x"

When Martinez did that interview where he read out his transfer budget, his list of transfer targets, and the exact amount he wanted to pay for them, I think he made a bit off an error in judgement. It certainly seemed like a bit of an arrogant thing to do at the time, but with all these other teams swooping in and signing his targets, it looks like its gonna come back to haunt him.

What a douche...
