2025/26 Nathan Patterson

He's the most hard faced shameless character we've ever had, I know that much.

Despite all the bollocks spoken of his injuries he's been fit enough to play for most of his time here but wont leave the club even though no manager wants him on the pitch.

If he had an ounce of credibility and dignity about him he'd have demanded to go elsewhere by now. But he's chosen to sit on a 5 year contract and do nothing.

That's called parasitism in my book.

….personally, don’t blame him in the least for sitting on this contract, especially given it’s unlikely to be anywhere close to being matched elsewhere.

A loan seems the best deal for all concerned, but there has to be a club willing to take him and pay a % of his salary.

Football is the only job in the world where we expect people to give up money they’re contractually obliged to .

I do. He's twenty-two years of age.

What young professional footballer (apparently) wants to sit on their arse doing f.a. while some of their best years as a player are being counted off?

It underlines a lack of pride and ambition.

Maybe that - along with his thimbleful of talent - has been noted by his managers and they've swerved him at all costs. Even Moyes in so many words is telling the shiftless no mark that he needs to pull his finger out.

Not the only player to freeload on our club ......

His pension will be kicking in once his contract ends.

….its unlikely he’ll ever earn anything like the money he’s earning now. I have no idea how much his contract is, but circa £150k pcm over 5 and half years sets him up nicely with plenty of time to enjoy playing at whatever level he finds himself.
