Indeed on sample size - but we looked better with him at full back in the few games he played.

We should have moved him on if the club deemed him not good enough, that's the clubs fault, not the players.

He was never going to be the answer in the long term, but you're right we looked a lot more balanced as a team when he's played this season.

The frustrating part of him getting no game time is that in January it was suggested by Bobble I think that we were declining to sign a right back as Moyes didn't feel the players he was being offered were an improvement on Patterson. Had made me think he might get a bit more of a shot in the second half of the season.

I'm fairly convinced we actually sold Aznou in January and just forgot to tell everyone.

In the context of having a centre back playing right back for the whole season and our best centre mid filling in as second choice when needed, its utterly bizarre that we turned down opportunities to move him on.

Similarly I feel like I remember there being a loan opportunity for Aznou in January that we passed on as we didn't want to include a buy option. But surely Moyes is never ever ever going to have Aznou in his back 4?

For all the apparent internal support of Moyes it doesn't seem like there's a lot of lined up thinking going on.
