@davek were are you - talk us through Patterson & that cross onto DCLs head with a fantastic save that went out for a corner leading to our first goal -another great game from him offensively & defensively ;)
Did you watch that game mate?

He got away with it in that first half with a bit of daft play then had pretty much nothing to do.

As said umpteen times: put this lad in a back four rather than the safety net of a back five with a right sided CB coming across to help out and we'll be in a world of trouble.

Tarkowski got away with a bit of ball watching. Every player makes a poor decision at some point or other. Patterson has played plenty of minutes in an under pressure back 4 this season to suggest that it doesn't put us in a world of trouble.

He's growing slowly but surely. That cross for DCL's header today was excellent, as was the assist he got a few months back for Danjuma's goal down at Sheffield United. Clearly he's got a wicked cross on him, just his positioning, when playing in a back four at least, still needs a lot of work.

Wish he'd get more minutes instead of Young so he can learn but overall his development is going okay. If we don't screw this up then by the time he's 25/26 we could have ourselves a very highly-rated player.

The only fault I can see with Patterson is that he never played previously in a green hooped shirt Dave well that's as far as you're concerned anyway...:)

In @davek defence he does get skinned very easily. Wouldn’t trust him as a RB, but as a wing back it makes sense.

He’s very lucky we have solid centre backs cause he gets done and commits way too often.
