I think you've been told to knock this nonsense's off once before as I remember. This thread really makes me dislike Irish people. It’s a shame.

Do you think this lad has pace mate?Think you’re a bit triggered by Dave here to be honest mate. I like Nathan as a player, I also said in the main he was very good today, I defo think there is a player there. He was caught on the hop in one phase by switching off that undermined the whole system - so yes I can see why he’s not in the team because of phases like that in our predicament, same with Danjuma. Young i disagree, not wholly - he’s not the future, but he’s also not been as bad as much of the hyperbole on here, think you are doing Coleman a disservice here also.
Dyche doesn’t need me to justify anything, he’s kept three clean sheets in a week, so he knows what he’s at and he’s making the decisions he’s making. Young isn’t the future, nor is Coleman, it’s a worry to me Nathan isn’t getting game time - he’s 22 and never played games consistently in his career week in week out - how does he develop, how does he get experience, how does he work the kinks out of his game, how will he be ready to be a starting right back next season, if as could be more likely then not Coleman and Young both retire. We need him to be ready and he’s not.
I'm not interested in the binary entrenched argument with all the undertones here, it’s eye rolling to be honest, my only concern is that Nathan is ready to be a starting PL right back next season and watching him play he needs more expierence and he needs to play week in week out. He has developmental needs and they won’t be met second half of the season here, sitting behind Coleman or Young, the lad needs to play to become the player he should be, I’m not quite sure what you find so controversial about that take I think it’s very evident.

I must confess I've never seen him flat out skinning an opponent.
I have seen him head back blowing for tugs trying to get back in position.
Kyle Walker he aint.
I like Patterson, not sure now, didn’t know he was Irish! Was think Alan Hutton myself.
Hope this helps @davek . Its from Electronic Arts so it must be true.

He is quick but his smaller frame seems to make him look like hes sluggish. And Kyle Walker is Turbo-Rapid. Not many he can't catch.
I'm not mate. The better players we have in the squad the more safe we as a club get.Somebody’s a little salty that young Patto has done a job for us the last couple of games, and actually assisted a goal for us unlike Ashley young setting the opposition on their way to beating us…..
What's McNeils? Who'd win out of him and Patterson in a Fifa race?
How does that help us understand his pace - it's in isolation, there's no comparison. And which one is pace? 'DRI'?Hope this helps @davek . Its from Electronic Arts so it must be true.

Here's my worry: we see off Young and Coleman in the summer and get no adequate replacement in and Patterson becomes the first choice RB.As much as Baines or Coleman had mate, prob a bit more mate, he has a decent set of pipes on him and can get up and down the line. Offensively, he can skin, get inside, beat a man down the line and actually has a whip of a cross on him with decent technique - we haven't really seen this side of him here yet. Its that decision of when to go, when to conserve, where is the danger, where could it break down, where is the left full - the sticking and twisting.
Hes been more working on the defensive side of his game and needs to - its that balance of sticking and twisting, an awareness of the line and the concentration and decision making on overloads - overall at this stage i just think he needs game and experience to hone and develop - i worry about being him on the shelf here and when we go reaching for him in Aug - he's undercooked and badly needs games, also think he could do with some strengthening work off the field. Also dont want to be dropping another 20 mill on another right full, if we can avoid it.
