The boy is doing ok. He's got work to do to earn the trust of Dyche, but he's making good strides, the Newcastle cameo and today will go a long way in proving to the manager and himself that he can actually be a full back in the premier league. Sometimes we just gotta let them develop. FFS I can still remember Seamie when he first came in, I'm sure he had a spell early on where he just kept getting caught under and missing the runner behind, making the same mistake, but eventually he learnt and developed.

Why does he seem to have to do twice as much to earn Dyche’s trust though? Anytime he’s come into the team he’s played well.

Young came in and was straight into the team, has been poor at left and right back, yet there never been a need for him to gain Dyche’s trust or even show he deserves to keep starting. It’s happened with other players as well.

Good to see him get games and mins. He largely did well.

There was one ball, he switched off for, was at sea, lost his man, they got inside should of scored, was thinking to myself that’s why he’s not in the team.

Hopefully any mins he get over Xmas he can build momentum, get experience and develop.

Because this happens to none of the other two right-backs? I feel some penalise Patterson for not being Cafu.

He also didn’t switch off he’s just not as fast as the Ukrainian Flash
