He has talked about subs. And it’s a mad take that he has on them.

He sets his team up with the ‘best’ players for the tactics he wants to play that game. So barring injury he just sticks with them all game. As if his tactics are infallible.

If the team is operating in the manner that I think is right, other than fatigue or injury of course, then I don’t tinker too much. My stats and the facts on that have paid me back. I believe in a way of working and unless someone is particularly off-colour, or there might be an injury reason, or just a fatigue reason, I often leave the side alone if I think it is operating in the right way”
So basically anybody that gets subbed that doesn't feel tired is going to develop a complex.

The whole argument is just bizarre.

We’ve already seen that when Dyche had to swallow his pride and give younger players a chance they can do well and play themselves into form.

He was picking Keane ahead of Branthwaite at the start of the season (mental) but saw the light and sorted it. Branthwaite has probably been our best player aside from the next fella I’m going to mention - who knows what our results early on would have been if Branthwaite started as soon as he was available?

Dyche was playing young at lb ahead of Myko at the start of the season (Slightly more understandable but still mental), saw the light gave Myko minutes and now he’s probably been our best player the last month or so.

Anyone see a pattern emerging here?!?

Patterson shouldn’t have been dropped after the villa cup game - he may have played himself into a bit of form and fitness ( he may not have but he should have been given the opportunity by now) and we wouldn’t be stuck with the shambles that is young and a half fit Coleman being the ones we need to turn to.

Young has don’t absolutely nothing to justify keeping the spot - if Patterson had made some of the mistakes young has I dread to think what would be written on here.

Dyche needs to sort and play Patterson now and give him a chance to show what he can do, but the kids confidence must be goosed after the way the manager has used him.

If it doesn’t work out he can put Coleman in when he’s back fully fit.
Dyche's masterplan: If you don't reach peak performance you get Younged

Whoever the journo was that brought him up in the presser today is doing the lord's work. Basically straight up said to Dyche 'the fans like him and want to see him play'..
Dyche said "Still developing, learning the game."

That's called kicking a question into the long grass.

You can tell from what was said today that Coleman and Young will be playing the rest of the season.

He says the exact same about Branthwaite lol

Keane and Godfrey for the rest of the season it is then!
There'll be no Patterson this weekend...or any other weekend as a starter.

Dyche is deflecting away from an idiot journalist who thinks he's being edgy asking why a no mark defender isn't getting a game.
