Naming your son/s after Everton players?

Just had a wee boy 5 weeks ago and really wanted Alex but my mate named his dog Alex so I couldn't do it. thought about Leon, more because I like the name probably more than the player!

Forget football mate, just pick a name with a nice ring to it, like
Evan Tony-Ian (insert surname)

In my direct line, at least the last six generations in a row have had a son as the firstborn.

The initials alternate between "TGW" and "GTW" - my dad's initial's are GTW, my grandad's (his dad's) are TGW exactly like mine.

So therein I have a debate - what "G" is good for the next one? Graham (or Graeme) is ruled out as that's my dad's name, leaving:

MAYBE LIST:

George (molyneux): Will probably plum for this out of sheer tradition (after my dad's great uncle) but it's too mainstream and he might think he's a future king
Gavin (mccann) - Manly and just about escapes being put into the "chavvy" category, but shame about the obscurity of this player
Gaston (ramirez) - not an Everton player yet, but will be if we're to stop shipping goals to this melt every time he comes to GP!

REJECT LIST:

Gordon (west) - ambivalent about it, but I think my mum hates that name
Gary (lineker/speed/stevens) - not keen on it
Gareth (barry/farrelly) - same as gary
Glen (keeley) - NO!

Do surnames count? Gabriel is OK but can be shortened to Gabe and the lads at his school might call him "G@y-b" or something equally creative.

But I'd back him to the hilt if he wanted to deliver justice on them, so I suppose it's a strong contender if risky.

Risky.... very risky - we all know!

Gabe could be quite cool in a 'LA surfer dude' type of way.
At least it's not Gueye!

My dad is named after Colin Harvey. When he was born my nan and grandad put all the Everton players names into a hat and picked a name and Colin Harvey came out so they called him Colin.
