Names are just names, kids are happy being called whatever they are called, it's just so called adults who pull faces. Whatever the kids are called be happy for them.........
Nah.

I have a weird name (it's becoming more common with more kids getting named weird things).

Hated it as a kid. Hated that no one could spell it, teachers would mispronounce it, couldn't get any of those stupid keychain things with my name on them.

As an adult it doesn't matter, but as a kid anything that makes you stand out as obviously different sucks - especially in school aged kids.

My kids have more traditional names.

Everytime I see my Great Uncle he tells the same 2 stories, I only see him at family parties these days, his first story is the fact that he gave up smoking as soon as he heard I was born and the 2nd story is how my children all have names from the Bible.

Joshua - Had a tree or something
Rebecca - Was a prostitute who helped Jesus
And I always forget who Sarah was

lad in our school was called owen. It wasn't spelled owen though, it was a welsh variation.

Went through school with the funny Owain sayings of his name, no-one knew it was owen.
