I love how when things aren't going well Naismith becomes the scapegoat! It's his fault that Barkley has been ineffective, it's also his fault that Lukaku can't hold a ball up, probably his fault that Joel is crap too!

At least Naismith still works his socks off when the chips are down, unlike some of the more 'gifted' players who turn into shrinking violets! That's probably the main reason why he gets picked, and also why he got a new contract!

It will be someone like Naismith who will turn out to be our saviour,like Barry Horne was,it sometimes works out that way.

He's the equivalent of Dirk Kuyt moving Gerrard in his prime out of position. Absolutely criminal and Martinez has never recovered in terms of picking his best 11 rather than a mish mash team selection week in week out.

He could, be but should we really be looking for naisey who is one of our squad players to get us out the crap when our A listers like eto'o, lukaku mirallas , Howard and Barkley fail every week.

The kids better than Gerrard was at his age and that's despite coming from a leg break/cruciate knee ligament injuries.

gonna be a lot of Red faced "Evertonians" who have slagged off the best young blue since Rooney when hes replaced Toure at Citeh and played in his right position.

also look at Lukaku's movement in those clips- facing goal not used as a jarg Big Dunc target man. Martinez deserves punting for what hes done to us this season.

I think the team's run of poor form is harsher on Naismith than anyone in the squad other than Lukaku. He's the sort of player who thrives when things are clicking and can utilize the strengths of his teammates.

I agree with you that when Naismith and Barkley are both playing then Barkley should be thru the middle because he is completely useless out wide whereas Naismith can do a job out there. I have no doubt that Barkley is going to be a top player but at the moment he is inconsistent and makes the wrong decisions at times, it's not Naismith's fault though, players are responsible for their own performances on the pitch!

I agree with this, Naismith does a job for the team which would be more effective if the more gifted players in the team were on their game!
