Naismith 3 year extention

I see that the plotters have reverted to the

"Naismith is turbo gash"

agenda.

Very telling. :coffee:

Nah, you got it wrong there mate.

People are just pointing out that regardless of how much he improved from when he joined, works his ass off and grabs the odd goal. His perminat inclusion in the first 11 is at the expense of a far greater player, which also has disrupted our set up from last season.

He's done better, is a good squad player and can play an important part. BUT that should be as part of the squad NOT as the lynchpin of the side. He wouldn't start for any of our rivals (UTD, arse, etc not hull, Leicester etc haha)

Good player to have off the bench as he's all effort.

Real team player but just doesnt have rhe quality.

Just the sort of guy we need when our backs are against a wall and in a scrap, no? Its a shame, because because maybe a few others could show the same effort. Whatever happened to the great team unity/spirit we are famous for?

Theres a couple of ways to look at it

A-- Play the guy amd move more technical players out of poaition to accommodate him.

B-- Put him on the wing and watch him run around like a headless chicken

C-- Stick him on as a sub when we need the effort at the end of games

Undoubtedly, but is 100% of a limited player (his passing was atrocious yesterday) worth it ?

When the other 10 players around him are putting in 10% effort then it's absolutely imperative to have him in the side. We could do with another 5 like him at this moment in time because skill and flair mean sod all if your not willing to roll your sleeves up and fight for the cause and earn the right to play. Shocking playing him in centre mid 2nd half with Baines but he's going to get a free pass from me because over the course of the season he's the only player who has looked truly arsed.

Totally agree on the effort side of things, but the amount of misplaced passes/moves breaking down sort of negates that. For me the problems seem to be coming from not playing the best players, in their correct positions and now halfway through the season our shape has just disapeared. I like the Nais, but not as a first choice regular starter.

I would totally agree if players were in form but until they pull there finger out the likes of Nais will be one of the first names on the team sheet. All the players have had ample opportunities and tbh if your told to play left back when your a striker, well you do the best you can and put in the effort. So again I agree that Martinez has played players out of position which has been cloudy annoying but the least I expect is effort and there has been absolutely zilch from 90% of them. Yesterday was just the icing on the cake for me when it came to players disrespecting the shirt and the club.

I disagree Martinez has shown he has an allegiance to his bum boys and will play them no matter what:

Naismith, Barry are his pets and Eto'o and Osman are also up there

Every manager has his favourites and Martinez is no different. Don't see what you can disagree with tbh as the lot of them have been absolutely crap and as I mentioned only Naismith can hold his head up and say he's put in anywhere near the required effort that is expected. Or do you think there's more players who have put in the required level because of so I would love to know who they are.

The same Eto'o who didn't come on for Kone yesterday, even though nothing Kone was doing came off. You don't half spout some rubbish. Eto'o has started a total of 8 games in the league, that's less than half.
