my mate works in Switzerland as a tandem skydiver, he strapped ralf little to the front of him and parachuted down the North Face of the Eiger, he's wearing ski's so he can keep touching down when he see's some snow before taking off again.
apparently the wires got tangled and 'arl soft arse Ralffie thought he was gonna die

it was shown on High Altitude on BBC and is being repeated on Dave, dont know if any of you saw it or not but it's gonna be repeated again soon so will post a link when i find one, cant believe it's not on iplayer or youtube though.

he is, he does the tandem skydiving but base jumps as well, absolute nutter.
he did a skydive (solo) and came down in a tree, a branch snapped and he landed on a rock from 20 feet in a sitting position....broke his back !! the swiss medics had him walking within 14 days and juming again after 6 months.
his regular thing is, where he lives in interlaken there is a waterfall, when everyone is taking their pics him and his mate basejump off the top of the waterfall.

this is the guy

he makes a living from his hobby and gets to go all over the world doing stuff for ads and promotions, he gets to jump over some great places like victoria falls and get paid for it as well.

yet to find the actual vid but i'm pretty sure this is what he did with little soft arsh ralfie on the front of him. to be fair, i reckon i'd be cackin' my pants too. i've emailed him to get a dvd of his shiz that he does, but in the meantime here's a couple of examples of how he spends his 'working' day.

these adrenaline junkies just don't stop, 1st base jumping..... crazy, then suits with wings, now this.... proximity flying.

The 1st vid was 2 years ago so god knows what stunts they will be up to nowadays ? How long before you can do a tandem base jump or wingsuit ? some Kiwi Krank will probably try it first.

Crazy people.

I used to climb a bit. Obviously fell off a few times and occassionally had safety pull out, at which point you think .... is there any more safety in or is the next stop the ground ? Why anyone would intentionally throw themselves with a wingsuit ... I can totally understand.
