When Barry leaves, we will probably have to find a different formation or replace him from outside the current squad, with somebody who is willing to sit and hold for 90minutes.

The lad needs to bulk up to compete in a league like this. He's played a very few number of games in his career. He came to us as a centre half from the Hungarian league mate. If he has the potential then give him a chance in a slower paced league like Scotland or Finland etc. Just for a few months.

:D

He's dumping fat puddings like Toure on their arse and he needs to bulk up?

;)

'we can find a solution from within the squad'

Well personally I havent see the Manager try anything other than make Jamo play more as a number 8 than number 6.

McCarthy is the most likely to fill the Barry role, but his high energy playstyle means he could go AWOL at certain times, thats not a slight on the boy, you wont see me criticising the boy McCarthy for playing at 100mph.

Ya at the minute we will probably have to get someone in because i cant see us changing formation.i suppose cleverly is the only one we have within the squad at the minute that could play a similar role but i dont think he has the disclipline to play the role.gibson is the other one but id be very surprised to see him here next year.

He has bulked up since last season, that's pretty clear. His injury troubles are due to hamstring strains - which are nothing to do with 'bulking up'.

And you're seriously suggesting that he go to Scotland or Finland?

Dear me Charlie.

Mate he has the physique of a boy band reject. He needs more muscle in order to really compete (putting an off colour Toure on the deck doesn't count). If he had more strength he wouldn't need to lunge about so much.

Don't get me wrong I love the little kid's passion but it has to take more than that to succeed in the royal blue under martinez.

If we was a centre half in Hungary and now a dynamic mid in England there should surely be an interim step. A team like Hearts or even Celtic for a month or two would be perfect. Or Helsinki.

The lad needs games in a slower league to find his feet.

As do most of the premiership players. The finest player the world has ever seen is 5 foot [Poor language removed] all with his hands in the air and half of his squad mates are similar sized. Give me a single instance of him being muscled off the ball.
