lol your trolling knows no bounds

Pack it in. I'm not trolling. He's had one great game for us.but so too can you look back at everyone from Danny Cadamarteri to Steven Naismith - at one point they've each looked world beaters.

The lad needs to bulk up to compete in a league like this. He's played a very few number of games in his career. He came to us as a centre half from the Hungarian league mate. If he has the potential then give him a chance in a slower paced league like Scotland or Finland etc. Just for a few months.

In my book he's behind McCarthy, Barry, Cleverly and Gibson in the centre. Given how we can potentially be flexible with others it is best to give the lad a proper chance. The likes of Greame Le Saux and Darren Anderton both were similar in terms of their body frame and injury record.

Haven't the majority of his issues been hamstring pulls and strains? I don't think adding bulk really prevents those.

He has bulked up since last season, that's pretty clear. His injury troubles are due to hamstring strains - which are nothing to do with 'bulking up'.

And you're seriously suggesting that he go to Scotland or Finland?

Dear me Charlie.

In that case lets just send him back to Hungary :)

He's 10 times the player of Gibson mate, im amazed if youre serious that you think hes only had a single decent game.....also try and get some Bosnia games downloaded...he's fantastic for them.

I personally dont think either player can do the role Barry does in the team.

Is the correct answer.

The "style" in the central areas would need to change with either both Besic and McCarthy taking zones where one another goes to the ball and the other covers or McCarthy harassing and Besic being slightly more advanced.

Youve described Barry as "the pivot" before and i suppose if we use the "barcelona" model then thats a Busquets type, he has a great passing range as well which is probably more Besic than McCarthy but i dont think you can leave McCarthy out....when he plays we get results.

Will be interesting to see how we setup with these two and how Besic plays with McCarthy as he looked incredible alongside Barry

i still think we need to add a player into centre midfield though as if Besic and McCarthy are the pair then with Barry getting older we need another body on paper in case of injuries.

Agreed neither of them have the distribution skills barry has.besic and mccarthy are of the same mould.

Barry is the pivot, he just sits all day taking the ball and getting us moving, McCarthy has the ability to do the passing aspect, but his game is based on high energy closing down and tackling, would be a total waste, Besic is the same, high energy with a more expansive passing range than McCarthy, also has it in his locker to take a man on.

Basically both players could perform the role, its not difficult, it just requires a LOT of positional discipline and amazing game sense, something that both players, given their age, lack slightly and also both players would be totally wasted in such a role.
