can't be having any of his subs today tbf. Thought Ross was at least looking like forward play was going through him. Besic, Deulofeu and Osman all offered much less than the 3 they replaced.

So the player that won the ball, Besic, who passed it to the player who won the corner, Deulofeu and the fact that taking off Barkley meant that the player who scored the winning goal, The Clev, was playing in a more advanced position had no bearing on us wining the game?

An interesting but utterly flawed concept.

Not going to accept that a 10 second action over rides everything else that the subs did or did not do in their time on the pitch. Clearly a positive result is welcome but had the keeper dealt properly with the cross we'd be bemoaning another draw.

You know hindsight doesnt work in reverse, right?
i felt Besic looked a noticeable downgrade over Barkeley when he came on that's all. If you don't agree fair enough but please don't try and bring up his extremely minimal contribution to the goal as some kind of blanket justification for the sub as I think it clouds the real issue.

Football isnt for you, Besic didnt replace Barkley per se, The Clev replaced Barkley and Besic replaced The Clev, which allowed a minor change in the tactical make up of the team which allowed us to score the goal which won the game, you cant take that back, whether you think the goal was lucky or not doesnt matter, your statement that the sub was "worthless" has been pulled about and proven to be false.

Now do me a favour and leave it there, its honestly not even a contest.

Difficult to read too much into an appearance as a substitute, but I thought he looked much more mature and his decision making has improved enormously.

Good performance, let's hope he kicks on from here and fulfills his potential with us.

Didn't do much, maybe looked a bit off the pace (understandably).

Must say, however, it was great to see him celebrating as passionately as anyone despite not being in the team for a long time.

Thought he looked quite good when he Cameron although the subs were awful. Barkley was out most threatening player and Lennon was also looking dangerous and just as we were building a head of steam the changes set us back.

Lennon had to come off if Deulofeu was to come on, and we were chanting for him to come on

As for Besic, did well for the brief time he was on

I'd like to see him get more game time in the coming weeks
