We cant go into the new season with the three expected midfield starters, Davies, Besic, Barry and McCarthy.

I think Besic is brilliant but he's so injury prone. Having him fit for a season would be a game changer...if hes injured again I think that's it for him

Schneiderlin
Barry
Gueye
Davies
McCarthy
Besic
Klaassen

Think that's enough for now.

lol you just copied the names I listed

Barry is finished
McCarthy and Besic are injury prone

4 reliable performers for 3 positions

Oh just re-read your post I thought you were missing them off the total. Barry has another season in him IMO. The other two are yeh, but at the same time they might not get injured? I'd like another but it's way down my list.

I don't think you can go into a season with an old man and 2 injury prone players. Its ok to say, what if they don't get injured...well, what if they and one other reliable player do get injured...not good.

Best to shift on 2 or 3 and bring someone in...especially if McCarthy could fetch 20mil or close to it.

What if Klaassen, Morgan and Gana get injured vs Stoke? Should we buy another 3 now to compensate?

I've not read too much lately lads, but twitter is alive with "Mo should defo be our CB pairing with Keane" shouts.

Nah. Never. He's not a bloody CB and a couple of run outs against no mark oppos in the kind of game even I'd get a run out in, doesn't make him one.

Love the lad, hope he stays fit, can defo make a move to be part of our excellent midfield. Anyone thinks he's a centre back needs their 'eads looking at though.

Did not look as sharp today as he has been in the other games. It felt like he was a bit irritated for not starting earlier and tried to do as much as possible during the small time frame he got.

Some questionable decisions and sometimes his passes to the central midfield can be too risky. The Davies pass today and against Gor Maha he played also a questionable pass to Gana which could have ended badly.

We also saw that he is still insecure when dealing with air balls. He hesitated on how to deal with a ball coming at him and decided to let it bounce before going in for an airchallenge that he lost. Thankfully Barry had everything covered. A bit sad that this part of his game still hasn't improved and a lot of it is because he was injured for almost the whole season and focused on getting back to the teamtraining and not on improving his weaknesses in his gameplay.
